| Posted: | | | | I haven't had a chance to try using it yet, but had a minor problem(?) on the install. Step 6, quoted below, opens in the Layout directory under My Documents on C: drive, but the file is in the directory I extracted it into. Had to navigate to that point, and then everything finished as described in your setup.
6. On the File menu, click Import from Layout, then open the file PCP.dpl, which is amongst the files you have unpacked in the first step. | | | John

The layout file only serves as a source for the preview skin, it is not a real layout and therefore not installed in the layout directory. I would prefer the plugin to be able to add a skin (aka HTML section) to the currently used layout by itself, but unfortunately there is no way to do that. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | So the file PCP.dpl is not needed anymore after installation?? I extracted the files in a temp folder, can I delete that? |

The file PCP.dpl is indeed no longer needed after you have imported the preview skin. But you should then explicitly save your layout with the new skin included. As for the temp folder, I hope you didn't run the install there. The plugin is registered at its current location, it is not copied to some DVDPro directory. That's why it says to extract them to a dedicated folder in the install steps. Also, all the files are very small - you wouldn't waste a lot of space by keeping them. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | Installed and upon first try the plugin told me that I needed build 1136 or higher. I still had 1134 installed After correcting above problem, including uninstalling and installing the plugin, I get this when trying to use it: Initializing... But, you should note in the installation instructions that you have to navigate to it. I thought at first I'd done something wrong. I can see where someone who is less technically inclined might really get confused. Otherwise, this is a GREAT plug-in! I just used it and it cut the processing time in half, easily. Going through each title one at a time is still problematic, but that isn't your fault. Excellent job. Ken should build this into Profiler as a standard default plug-in. | | | John

However, it might be a good idea to copy the dll-files first to \Program Files\DVD Profiler\Plugins, since there is a folder for plugins already by default. And then register them there. |

| Posted: | | | | Good work! I think the first dozen or so times the different look will surprise me, but I'm glad to have the added functionality. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | Just tried it, and it's great! Unfortunately, I had only 1 changed profile today, but so far, it looks great!
I'm just puzzled by the choice of putting the Sort Title at the top. I realize it is part of the title group of data, but it's pretty much useless to have it there, as it is personalization data which doesn't change with the online. |

Initializing... Error -2147012892 (0x80072ee4) I just confirmed my suspicion... It's because I am a User. Temporarily adding the account to the Administrator group fixed that problem, well, temporarily. What can I change to be able to use the Plugin as User...? (Adding permission to a specific file or folder is not a problem, using my computer is...) Even though the dll is not copied there, does the plugin save temporary files in the plugin folder...? | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. The sort title is displayed only if the new profile contains changes to "real" title fields and if the new sort title is different, too. This is just a reminder that you may have to change the sort title when accepting a title change. Quoting ya_shin: Quote: Initializing... Error -2147012892 (0x80072ee4)

Even though the dll is not copied there, does the plugin save temporary files in the plugin folder...? The plugin doesn't require admin rights, I specifically tested it with a user account. It does not create or write to any files, nor does it tamper with any system stuff that depends on security privileges. Unfortunately, I have no idea what could cause this problem on your system. | | | Matthias |

After attempting to research the error, I entirely understand why ylou don't have an idea. All pages that Google came up with either refer to a problem with Windows Update or Exchange. Weird to me is that, despite what you mentioned, it does work if I use it as Administrator... I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, to no avail. I'll give it a rest for now and try again some other time. (I did see it shortly when being logged in as Admin and it sure looked great. I really would like to get this to work. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
