| Posted: | | | | Just wanted to hear what you all think is the proper title for this release:
The way I see it, "The Beatles" is not part of the title, just the name of the group, just like other titles have actors listed above the title. (And it's not a possessive since there is no apostrophe)
The previous release of this title had this on the cover HELP! With The Beatles
So that one would have been just "Help!" in Profiler. But this one...? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar | | | Last edited: by GSyren |

| Posted: | | | | Wrong link? I see the cover for Ratatouille. At least this title has no reference to the Beatles on the cover |

| Posted: | | | | As for the original question... since I don't see no link or cover at all... I don't know this title... as I am not a music fan at all... but would this rule come into play here?.... Rules Quote: Quote: For music and stage performance DVDs, use the performer or group name followed by the DVD title, separated with a colon and space. For example: "U2: Rattle and Hum", "Ellen Degeneres: The Begining". | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I see War. Rotating link, I am guessing. And to Pete: no, that rule wouldn't apply as this is not a performance film. It's an actual movie which stars the Beatles (and their music, of course).
As for the original question, the ruling on the Yellow Submarine profile was that "The Beatles" on the cover was no different than any other stars' name on the cover of a DVD. Therefore the profile is named simply "Yellow Submarine". | | | Build a man a fire and you keep him warm for a day. | Posted: | | | | In order to match other music DVDs like concerts and video clips I would suggest: The Beatles: Help!
It all depends if you are looking at this DVD as a music DVD or as a movie DVD. | | | Last edited: by RHo |

It all depends if you are looking at this DVD as a music DVD or as a movie DVD. I must assume that you haven't seen it. It's most definitely a movie. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | IMHO it should be profiled with "Help!" as Title. |

Of course it is a movie (with some kind of story) but I can't remember how much the music is emphasised in this film. There are films though which can be looked at as movie DVDs or as music DVDs. "Pink Floyd: The Wall" springs to my mind which I would also accept as "The Wall". In the case of "Help" I would probably accept both variants for the online profile and choose my favourite myself for my local database. |
