| Posted: | | | | We've launched a new feature on the site - the Friends List!
The friends list serves as a central location to message your friends and keep up to date on their info. It also lets you give special access to your friends, such as to your personal information and collection. However, each friend must be individually granted these access rights. You can change rights at any time by selecting the user from your friends list.
We'll be expanding and integrating the functionality of this feature soon. The next rollout will be in the upcoming DVD Profiler for iPhone.
The friends list is available now from the my profiler section of our site. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Interesting feature! I suppose that the friends-settings override the general collection visibility. So at the moment it's only interesting if your collection isn't visible to the public in general - right? | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | Typo fixed - thanks! Also, some quick notes - you can't befriend a blocked user, and blocking a user will de-friend them. And, this symbol: means the friendship is mutual. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

| Posted: | | | | Looks interesting Ken! But I must admit I'm more curious to see how this will tie into the iPhone release. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | It's probably not something that I'll use at this time but it does sound like a good idea for those who want it.
Perhaps you could add an option of sending a Friend Request to a user. Kind of like a PM but an auto message. If that user accepts, a mutual friendship is added for those two. Inversely, perhaps an option to disable Friend Requests with a message along the lines of "Sorry, this user isn't accepting Friend Requests at this time". |

When a user adds you as a friend, you'll get an automatic PM. At the bottom of your friends list are shown the users who have you has a friend that you haven't yet befriended. That's the only place they show, and there are no extra rights granted to someone who befriends you, only to those that you befriend. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |
