I just recently found out that I need to move. Luckily I have some friends that are going to help me out. But this means moving quite far away from all my family. I will be moving from Maryland all the way to Kentucky. And I have to do it quickly... they will be here to move me on the 15th... that is only 8 days away... and I have a LOAD of packing to do!

Sorry about that, where in Kentucky? I always thought Kentucky was pretty nice.

I think I would have moved every once in awhile just to force myself to get rid of stuff. I don't know why, but I saved every receipt, etc. for every dvd I ever bought and now have been shredding box after box after box of paper. And every book LP, CD, DVD, Bought I saved and now I'm getting rid stuff. I found stuff I didn't even knew I had. I guess it because as a kid I never had anything and while in the military you don't have any place for much of anything. After the military it was all sports cars and travel all over solving computer problems.

It was 1976 before I bought a home and settled down. I don't dare move now, the rescue squad is too close, 2 trips (2002,2011) to the emergency room at 3:00 AM in the morning and 3 stints in my heart. Obama care will take care of that, at my age they'll just warehouse and let me die.

When I redid my house, repaint and flooring, I bought 5 bundles of 10 cartons, (50) 2 ft. x 2ft. x 7 in.
That got about 7,000 off of my Boltz racks so I could move the racks to a different room  while the paint and tile set.

Each 2'x2' carton holds 3 rows with the spine up so you can see the title (on most).
With a couple in between rows, so they don't rattle around, that is about 140 keep cases per box.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
Ineptocracy, You got to love it.

I will be staying in Shepherdsville... from what I understand it is pretty close to Louisville.

My sister-in-law had me choked up a bit this evening... She said when they saw my post on facebook about leaving my nieces  and nephew were right upset that I was moving so far away. I didn't know they cared that much they seldomly visit and when they do it is like they spend all their time with their other uncles because they have more in common with them.

Kentucky is indeed a nice place, and you will find the weather surprisingly like the Northeast. I am in Louisville at a family event as I am typing this. You should see all the snow and ice from yesterday's storm.

But it is not as bad as I make it to sound. Almost done really. Just have a little bit more of my TV series collection and then my Theatrical movie serial collection to pack up... and then my DVDs will be all packed. Then just my clothes and some wall hangings and nick-nacks.

Good Luck Pete.  I live in Indy, just a few hours from you.  Enjoy the midwest and give me a heads up if you plan on visiting Indy.

Hope it goes smoothly.

I hate moving.  It's one of my real 'life hates'.
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...
