| Posted: | | | | Copied from the old IVS forum. This Collection appears to be completed as no new releases have occurred since 8/29/06. This is simply a reference for those who might be interested in what is in this collection.UPDATE: Three new releases came out on March 11, 2008. They originally announced that this would be a 24 film set, so this may be it....for real. Finding information about this collection is challenging at best. Although they have a website here, it is never up-to-date. I'd like to keep an up-to-date a list of the films in this collection in this opening post. As new releases are announced, I'll update the list here. To start with, I need help identifying the films that were released on June 6th as volumes 16 and 18. Any help? Title Release Date Vol. 1 Laura 3/15/2005 Vol. 2 Call Northside 777 3/15/2005 Vol. 3 Panic in the Streets 3/15/2005 Vol. 4 House of Bamboo 6/7/2005 Vol. 5 Street with No Name 6/7/2005 Vol. 6 Nightmare Alley 6/7/2005 Vol. 7 House on 92nd Street 9/6/2005 Vol. 8 Somewhere in the Night 9/6/2005 Vol. 9 Whirlpool 9/6/2005 Vol. 10 The Dark Corner 12/6/2005 Vol. 11 Kiss of Death 12/6/2005 Vol. 12 Where the Sidewalk Ends 12/6/2005 Vol. 13 No Way Out 3/7/2006 Vol. 14 Fallen Angel 3/7/2006 Vol. 15 House on Telegraph Hill 3/7/2006 Vol. 16 Boomerang 6/6/2006 (this title was recalled)Vol. 17 House of Strangers 6/6/2006 Vol. 18 I Wake up Screaming 6/6/2006 Vol. 19 Vicki 8/29/06 Vol. 20 Shock 8/29/06 Vol. 21 Fourteen Hours 8/29/06 Vol. 22 Black Widow 3/11/08 Vol. 23 Daisy Kenyon 3/11/08 Vol. 24 Dangerous Crossing 3/11/08 Vol. ??? | Posted: | | | | I love the "Fox Film Noir" series of dvds, but it looks like they may have halted production...I think that the latest announcement is "Forgotten Film Noir". What a great genre; it would be a shame if we don't see any further releases from Fox Film Noir. Own them all, love them all. |

| Posted: | | | | No kidding...although it was a little painful to pay $35 for a dVD that I would normally have gotten from DDD for $10.33! I could never have dealt with that hole in my collection, tho! | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Same here... I also paid around $30 for my copy + airmail shipping over the big water, but I am happy that I did. I just checked and it is still selling for approx. the same price. Average of those sold within 3 or so weeks is somewhere near $32. Too bad, though, if they really have completed the series. I would have welcomed many more... | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

Between the Studio Classics and this one, Fox had me hooked for at least 6 DVDs every quarter. If I were Fox, I'd be firing the guy who decided to dsicontinue these collections. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Rumor has it is coming back this summer with 3 new titles, but "Boomerang" won't be one of them. So those of you out there (like me) who ran to Borders and snatched a copy before it could be withdrawn, consider yourselves lucky. |

| Posted: | | | | Here is the rumor, from Eddie Muller (one of the commentators on the FFN line): "Straight from Eddie Muller in the latest Noir Sentinel: "I’m not sure why Fox lost its momentum last fall, but another three titles, none of them are Boomerang or The Brasher Doubloon, will be coming soon. From what I’ve heard, Boomerang is dead in the water. Those who got a copy before the recall have collector’s items. I have no clue why Doubloon has not been released." |

| Posted: | | | | It appears that Fox are indeed bringing out three new titles on 11 March: Black Widow (Fox Film Noir) (1954); Dangerous Crossing (Fox Film Noir) (1953); and Daisy Kenyon (Fox Film Noir) (1947). No update at the official site yet but worth watching now that they appear to have resumed releasing films. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

| Posted: | | | | New Film Noir Releases are available next week including the Re-Release of 'Boomerang!' Boomerang Roadhouse Moontide I've updated the OP. Now the question is, do I order the re-release of Boomerang (I already have the recalled release) in order to maintain the complete numbering scheme? It appears that the re-release of Boomerang is using the same UPC as the recalled release. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |
