| Posted: | | | | Le Juge Fayard dit "Le Sheriff", a French political thriller by Yves Boisset I have vivid recollections of from my adolescent years. ... All the Marbles, with Peter Falk as a sleezy wrestling manager. Colditz, the classic BBC TV series Batman - talking about classic TV series! (mentioned before in this thread) Die Rote Kapelle, 1970s German TV series about a resistance group in Germany during WW2. Mersey Beat - British TV series on a police station in northern England. Really old: Ivanhoe starring Roger Moore - from my childhood years. And I have no idea why it's taking so damn long to release the remaining seasons (series) of 'Allo 'Allo! in its native UK! | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

Like I have previously said; "Prince of the City" and "Straight Time" are what I am anticipating and they have since been announced. I guess I have to cross my fingers for the "African Queen" to be released R1 now. | | | Dette er så min lille film database der vokser for hver måned |

| Posted: | | | | Almost an Angel - A 1990 comedy with Paul Hogan. I remember really enjoying it at the time. Hit Man - A 1972 remake of Get Carter starring Pam Grier. The Democratic Terrorist - A 1992 spy thriller from Sweden. Other than that I've been lucky in that most of the rare-ish stuff that I enjoy have already been released. There's a number of movies available only in full screen or non-anamorphic widescreen that I'd like to see a re-release of, but at least they're available in some form right now. If you're able to play PAL format stuff, Howard the Duck is out in a number of R2 localities, as well as in Australia (R4). | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | I have a small list.
"Vingt-cinquième heure, La" aka "The 25th Hour" starring Anthoney Quinn "PT 109" starring Cliff Roberson "Fall of the Roman Empire" "Wings" is one I really hope they put on DVD. Its the first Oscar winner! "Cleopatra" starring Theda Bara, though there is no hope in hell of this ever being released as there are no surviving prints left. All the Charley Chase shorts. There are a few more but they slip my mind right now. | | | Last edited: by Baron von Rassilon |

Here Comes the Navy, mostly for historical reasons A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935), this stars James Cagney Edison, the Man Stanley and Livingstone (1939) With Spencer Tracy |

| Posted: | | | | I really, really would like to see the Dennis Potter miniseries of "Lipstick on your collar" (1993) end up being released as DVD sooner than later... starring Ewan McGregor in one of his earliest roles and opposite him beautiful Louise Germaine, who - I suppose - haven't been featured just about anywhere since. I read somewhere that there are some copyright twists hindering the release, unfortunately. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |
