I have another request (or couldn't find a way to do it).

When running queries, I would like if it was possible to tick something like 'ignore child profiles' and/or 'only search child profiles'.

Is that also possible?

Jeroen

You can already do that.  Open the Filters window and it's in the Box Sets section on the first tab.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.

Is there any way to query wether or not a location field is blank?

There should be (Regex search for ^$ would work), but there's a small bug.  It's fixed for the next version.

Thanks.

A couple other things, would it be possible to get a count of all dual layered discs? And the ability to maximise the window with a double click of the title bar would be good.

Keep up the good work

That's already there.  Go to the Discs tab, field is Dual Layered, query is Count profiles by disc size.  But perhaps a little explanation is in order.  So just in case you don't know:

DVD-5 - single sided, single layered
DVD-9 - single sided, double layered
DVD-10 - double sided, single layered
DVD-14 - double sided, one side single layered, the other side double layered
DVD-18 - double sided, double layered

And of course:

HD DVD 15 - single layered
HD DVD 30 - dual layered
Blu-ray 25 - single layered
Blu-ray 50 - dual layered

And of course this data is only as accurate as what's in the database.  So if you don't have data entered for both sides of the disc, the plugin will assume it's only single sided.

Talk to Ken.  He provides the dockable window, we supply the contents of the window.  This plug-in started as a regular window (not dockable), but then you couldn't access profiler while the plug-in was open (much like you can't do anything else while the Add DVD window is open).  That would have allowed what you're asking for, but then you loose a lot of features like the ability to edit profiles while the plugin is loaded.

Sorry should have made it clearer but I wish to know how many dual layer 'discs' I have rather than how many profiles have dual layer discs.

Fair enough about the window, no big deal anyway.

Is it possible to use original title instead of title on query results? I found how to use it on summary tab, but if you run for example top X directors query and then click one of the result directors, all movies are listed by title.

I knew there was a way to do it, but it took me a few minutes to remember how.

When you're on the screen displaying titles, right click.  The first item in the popup menu is View Columns.  Just check Original Title.  You can also uncheck Title if you don't want to see it.  Although if you do that, you might want to go to the Option screen and tell it to use Title when Original Title is empty.  Otherwise you'll see things with no titles.

And this should be a one time setup.  It will remember which columns you want displayed between sessions.

Hi,
I tried to run this plugin today, but I am getting the following error:

I am running Windows Vista Business x64 SP1 (English version) and the error occurs in DVD Profiler 3.1 and 3.5 Beta. Other plugins (like NameVariants) are running without problems (including my own demo plugin). The GUID "{90A60CBE-08A4-429B-8E56-998DCEC291DD}" belongs to "IDVDProfilerAPI" (according to the registry). Since the key is in the registry and other plugins don't have problems, I guess that the COM Object is registered.

Has somebody an idea what can cause this error?

Maybe the x64 is the problem. I'm running Vista 32 Bit Home Premium (German release) and this plugin with the 3.5 Beta version of the Profiler. Works perfect here with a good performance!

Download NeroInfoTool if you don't have it already. Install it and have a look at the Tab [System]
It tells you what is installed, perhaps a small difference of installed Microsoft components. If it's not the 64 that causes the problem?

use the save function of this program only mark Hotfixes it gives you something like this: InfoTool.txt

disregard above info (XP home) and perhaps someone can do the same for a Vista and compare the differences.

Seems to be a 64Bit problem caused by a corrupt Vista installation.
Best accepted solution seems to be to reinstall SP1

Microsoft support says it might be related to a Visual C# problem.
Fix is to be found here:

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
