| Posted: | | | | I'm running the 1.4 plugin, which I presume is the latest. Never had a problem before so I assume it's something in those new awards txt files. Perhaps a stray non-printable character.
Taurus and Anatomy went in just fine. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

| Posted: | | | | Strange. In the case of the MTV file, if I remove line 877 it imports perfectly. I tried manually retyping that line into the file and it immediately errored on it, regardless of where I placed the line. There are no special or unusual characters. There's something about the data in that line that the importer doesn't like.
In the case of the MTV file, it errors in 4 spots. Three of those seem to be caused by consecutive duplicate data lines. Removing the duplicate line will eliminate the error. However one of the error spots is a unique line so, again, there's something about it the importer doesn't like. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

| Posted: | | | | Well I haven't seen anyone post about this not working with the latest version so I obviously must have done something wrong. I installed 1233 today and decided to make a clean install so I backed up my database deleted all the old stuff and started over. After restoring my database the first thing I did was make a new backup and then I D/L ver 1.4 and installed it created a new database (used default) selected the database, D/L the Academy Awards file imported it and selected the view window option and dragged into my layout everything worked fine up to that point. I then D/L the updated profiles list and decided to rebackup the database with the new info when it got to the point where it was trying to back up the layout folder information it failed because it said it could not read the viewer database file. I tried closing and restarting, I even rebooted but the backup failed every time. I unchecked the plugin, reinstalled it, deleted and recreated the viewer database file and the same thing happens. I can view the awards just fine but I cannot make a backup with the two viewer database files in the layout directory. Any help would be appreciated.

Where do you recommend I put it (be nice ) It doesn't matter where you put it. Personally of course I also use my standalone Cinematic Collection Viewer and I use the same database in the plugin, which I use there. It is also more comfortable to update the awards with that tool. I will release a new version of both the plugin and the stand-alone program soon. I am just making preparations for it. I am switching to XML file format for the award files, which should solve import problems which happens for some people because of character encoding.

| Posted: | | | | Version 1.5New XML File Format for award data to avoid character encoding problems. Update to this version is necessary to benefit from the award data from my site from now on.Also a new version (2.0) of the Cinematic Collection Viewer itself is available. See this thread | | |

| Posted: | | | | are we not able to pick seperate files anymore?
I also just noticed on the new BAFTA Awards only the winners are listed. If the information is inacurate or not complete as possible then whats the point!? I mean if people are only entering movies in their database the file doesnt do anyone else any good. When I do one of these awards I will do anything and everything related to film not just the winning titles or nominees from movies I own. Ive even gone thru some of my titles where the only award mentioned was say a "stunt" award therefore making a new file just for stunt awards ala "Touras Awards"
Well I cant stop anyone from uploading incomplete files it would just be nice. | | | Last edited: by Mike |

I think that most usually download the big zip-File anyway. Single award update is still available when using the update functionality in the standalone Cinematic Collection Viewer program Quote: I also just noticed on the new BAFTA Awards only the winners are listed. Well I cant stop anyone from uploading incomplete files it would just be nice. Jogi did a complete update on those, including all nominees and winners. I also included this file in the online pool, but for some reason, you seem to get the old data. Jogi even resend me his data now, because he has the same effect, but I don't find any difference to the online data How big as the BAFTA award, when you export it from the Viewer? It should be a 351kb big XML file.
