I've already installed it, thinking it would correct a tiny, tiny typo in the menu, but allas it was not (Clone Chi ldren to DiscIDs). The popup window with all the checkboxes is great, although I was a bit confused at first as the drop down showed US locality even though I only flagged one profile, but after doing a Clone... all children did have correct locality. Will probably be wierd if several profiles is flagged anyway... Thanks for all the work you've put into this! |

| Posted: | | | | Typo wasn' t reported and I didn't notice it. Will fix in a future release. Locality is derived from the parent when cloning children using discIDs. I should probably suppress the display of the locality dropdown, since it is ignored in this case. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Hey MD, I'm having a problem with bulk editing my location fields. I save the changes then return to profiler only to find that about a 3rd have not save and I have to enter them again. When I save the changes again there are still some that don't save. In the end I had to enter each one in profiler like normal.
All the notes fields I edited were saved no problem. |

All the notes fields I edited were saved no problem. Blast. I thought I had fixed that one in the latest release. Obviously my testing didn't catch whatever the condition caused the problem for you. When you hit it again, see if you can notice any kind of pattern that may give me a clue to further research the bug. Sorry for your troubles ... | | | Thanks for your support. All the notes fields I edited were saved no problem. Im having simular issues all around, is the editor still limited to about 200 files at a time? |

Good luck with your all around issues, whatever they are. I hope you don't expect that I will magically deduce them and come up with a fix based on that description. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Just gotta thank you once again for creating such a useful plugin! I've been adding episode level profiles to my db the last few days and the 800 odd that I've done so far would've taken many weeks rather than a couple of days without the help of your plugin (and a few scripts). I do have a question though. Is it possible to edit the overview in bulkedit? I don't remember seeing it. I've been putting a sequential code in the sort title to keep episodes in chronological order. I've also been copy/pasting this code into the top line of the overview so I can - at a glance (and on the mobile version) - see what season, episode, disc and overall episode it is. I've been using a script to automate this task and it's fast but not lightning and I can't use the pc till its done. So it would be great if I could do it within bulkedit after adding the sort titles. Thanks again! |

Of course it can be done. It would be just like the Notes edit, which I can hopefully clone easily. While I look at it, can you confirm that the Notes editing process would worfk for you? It has a couple of quirks, and is much slower than other editing. But if it works for you, I can clone the process over to Overview. (Edit: I see you already told me that in a prior post ...) Oh, and if there is something that could be added to make it better, go ahead and suggest it. It usually takes the most time getting back up to speed on old code and figuring out what to do without breaking stuff - easier to go ahead and make more changes than doing the prep again later. Thanks for all the kind remarks. Hmmm ... was easier than I thought. See following. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! Changes:
Fixed typo in "Clone Children From discIDs" menu. Edit of Collection Number now works (strange nobody reported this bug ...) Edit of Overview added (per MarEll - enjoy!)
Apologies if I missed something that was requested before. I'll scan the last few posts and schedule an update later. Just wanted to get this out ... It was done quickly with limited testing, so be wary, always keep the backups handy and double check all results. Since it was basically cloned code that works OK for Notes, I don't expect any major issues, but I will certainly address any that arise.
To copy from Sort Title to Overview, use the MultiCopy Tool, Column Copy with the PrePend option. It should paste the Sort Title into the top line of the Overview. | | | Thanks for your support. I know this feeling: Makes you feel as if noone uses your tools I often stumble across bugs in my tools, which should have been noticed by others. But it has been a long time that someone has reported a bug back to me. | | |
