| Posted: | | | | Hey Tom... what am I doing wrong? I downloaded the newest version of the award plugin... installed it... downloaded the xml file... placed it where I store my award files. Then I turned on DVDP... went to Tools --> CCVPlugin --> Import Award Files. From there I selected the xml file I just downloaded... and here is what I ended up with... So what am I doing wrong or where do we go from here? | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Another user had the same problem. Turned out, that the used database was too old. Creating a new one fixed this. The plugin does not update old databases (whereas the CCViewer does this)). The old award import had a handling, which disregarded a new field which had been added in a previous version ("MovieYear"), if the used database didn't support it. For the new award import I did not do this. So it is best to use the most current database format to profit from this data also. I will include this special handling again for the next version. Edit: There were three different instances, which needed special handling for older database version. I will handle them again with the next version. If awards do not import correctly, this may be the cause. Please create a new database and try again in this case. | | |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah Sorry for the rant, just seems like sometimes the entire file is incomplete, anyway I downloaded the zip again and it is now working fine. |

| Posted: | | | | Got the same error message with a new download of the file so I don't know what to do.
Also, some documentation of some kind would be nice since I don't know how this works. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." | | | Last edited: by gardibolt |

Also, some documentation of some kind would be nice since I don't know how this works. A readme.txt file is included and should tell you everything you need to know. It lies in the same folder as the plugin (and opened up after installing the plugin). The error can be avoided by creating a new database file for the award data. How it is done is described in the readme.

| Posted: | | | | How do you make awards appear for DVDs you add after the plugin is installed? Do you have to uninstall it and then reinstall it? | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | if your reffering to old movie titles as long as the name is the same as in the award file it should be automatic, if your reffering to new titles there probably isnt an award file yet. |

| Posted: | | | | That could be. Is anyone seeing the 2007 Academy Awards show up? I added Atonement and Ratatouille and neither one is showing any nominations though I know they had some (and Atonement won one). But according to the website the 2007 Oscars are supposedly in there. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

They show up just fine for me. Are you sure, that you have the most current award files imported? Quoting gardibolt: Quote: How do you make awards appear for DVDs you add after the plugin is installed? Do you have to uninstall it and then reinstall it? You have to import the current Award data each time I announce an update to the awards in this thread, to have the most current data available.

| Posted: | | | | I downloaded it December 20, 2008. I redownloaded last night (specifically the Awards Data-Single File updated 1/2/09). Still no 2007 Oscars. 2006 and earlier show up fine.

??? Could this be a similar situation to the one I had...see second post down on this page. Steve Edit. This bit. Another user had the same problem. Turned out, that the used database was too old. | Posted: | | | | I tried deleting everything and starting over and now I have 2007. Not sure what was happening, since the database I was using was only 3 weeks old and 2007 should have been in there. Do I have to delete everything and recreate the database every time I add a DVD to my collection? | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |
