| Posted: | | | | I could be wrong, but I get the impression that a lot of people are happy about this Unfortunately, I only downloaded the program once, looked at it thinking I'd never have need for it (since at the time I wasn't submitting anything) and that was my last time of use. Regardless, I'm happy for all of the others. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

Regardless, I'm happy for all of the others. There's your problem. It's not for submitting (as far as I know). It's for comparing updates while updating your local database. And it was awesome. And I'm kicking myself for missing out on it when I had the chance. And finally, while I respect Matthias' decision and understand the why, it's still frustrating! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the update goodguy.
although I do have an issue. As I've got an always on pc running windows home server (windows server 2003), I've moved my main dvdprofiler to that.
Anyway, after installing the new plugin, I was expecting it to ask for my registration info. But it didn't. So, I put in my reg code via the plugin window.
However, it says when I try to use it :-
Initializing...
The Profile Comparison Plus Plugin is not properly installed.
The files appear to be installed ok in C:\Program Files\goodguy\Profile Comparison Plus
and I pasted in the txt file and set it to be usable for comparisons. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

Is there any change you could remove the version check from this plugin? I cannot understand which purpose does it serve. It makes users unhappy to beg you to fix the plugin everytime version number changes, even when program changes doesn't effect the plugin anyway and it causes unnessessary extra work for you to fix it every time. So, nobody wins. Quote:

PCP has become an essential part of DVD Profiler as far as I'm concerned. Agreed, I was passing through to grab the latest version it has been bugging me about and decided to stop by here on a lark before installing. Thank goodness! Not having the comparison tool made any minor update checks a real chore. Probably should make a point to do a full database pass over the rest of the month to make sure I don't fall too far behind, in case I forget and upgrade again. |
