Ok, what's your trick? Do you use Jedi mind control or something? I mean, come on, who in their right mind would trade their 2-Disc Special Edition for a single disc version? No trick to it. I just wait for the 2-Disc Special Edition to come into my shop, then I swap my single disc edition for the spoofier one. Then again, maybe it is a Jedi mind trick - I mean, we only pay like $3 at max generally, so ... | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I don't trade, I usually don't have any discs I don't like and I have only double dipped once maybe twice, although I have some double dips on wishlist.
Is this the Official Trade thread/forum area?
For those who sell, anybody got a low price for the first release of the musical version of Little Shop of Horrors - the OOP/recalled version. It shows up on (can I mention this site?) The Bay every once in a while, but ends up going for a min of $50, it averages $100something. | | | CaptKiirk42 DVD Collection/ Also Klandersen at DVDAF DVDCrate Collection My Blog |

| Posted: | | | | Nah! I don't trade or sell my DVD's or my Laser discs. Heck, I still have old beta and VHS tapes somewhere in my storage shed. They should be crystalized by now. I know that my old 10 inch reel-to-reel tapes have turned to cosmic dust. Anyone still have any 8-tracks? |

Back on topic...I weed through my collection a few times a year. I blind buy a lot so if pick up something and I don't care for it I'll get rid of it. Sometimes I'll pick up a movie and it won't be that I hate it but I just can't imagine being in the mood to watch again...I'll sell it. I'll also sell off dvds if I upgrade to Blu ray. I just sold off 30 movies to Dvd Planet. Just waiting for the last $100 or so credit to come through. Then I'll hold onto the credit until the November sale. |

My wife "asks" me to sell some DVD's whenever my collection outpaces the space on out DVD shelves. Luckily she lets me mostly get rid of the ones we bought for her. I am from the Star Wars generation who loves to watch movies over & over. Once she sees a movie she only watches it again on cable. And even though we own all Harry Potter movies she insists on watching repeats on HBO/Showtime/Starz/etc. not on our DVD player! Bobb Who had almost 700 two years ago and is now down to less than 450. Sometime you have to decide between DVD's or marriage, though the DVD's probably cost less in the long run. | | | Do Cheshire Cats drink evaporated milk? |

| Posted: | | | | I'm looking to thin my collection, with DVDs to "dispose of" marked, and another group earmarked as potentially going (usually after a (re)watch). The troubles for me are: a) Finding a convenient way to offload the DVDs b) Finding the time to watch the earmarked DVDs
I think the combination of the two tagged groups totals about 25% of my collection! (keep in mind though that I won't necessarily get rid of all of the "potentials"). In the last month or so I've given away 7 DVDs (1 to a friend, and 6 to my brother). | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) | | | Last edited: by W0m6at |
