I have also done this with the Die Hard, Harry Potter, Underworld, Mission Impossible, Pirates of the Caribbean and Matrix movies. For series clearly associated with a certain character or theme this is easy enough and using a sort title is a straight forward solution (used it myelf on sveral cases). However, goblinsdoitall had a good example above where you'd start to become inventive for the sake of it. Ideally the linking would then function the way it was for box sets in earlier DVD Profiler version, where we had a dropdown in the profile and could jump to any of the sister profiles. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | This sounds very much like the "playlist"-idea I posted a while ago. I only would "enhance" the sequel/prequel stuff a little bit.... In a time where the 4th part of the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" seems to start soon, we allready have three finished chapters, but in that case the sequel-idea wouldn't work as most times there are several other movies between "Part 1" and "Part 2" (e. g. for Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America and so on). There were coming up ideas like "fake box sets" (creating one virtual box set for each part of the MCU), but for me this is not acceptable, especially when some of the movies are part of a REAL box (in my collection Iron Man 1 + 2), as this would cause a lot of confusion in my collection. But your idea is so enjoyable, any feature to connect e. g. "Glass" with "Unbreakable" and all the other movies which don't have similar titles or numbers in them. "Bring together what belongs together".... |
