I'd go for this one in my collection

Alf - Der Film (Project: ALF)

Region 2

Released: 01.02.2001

Anamorphic 1.66:1

It has absolutely nothing to do with the (mostly) brilliant TV-show of the 80's, is cheaply made, boring to the extreme and contains no mentionable (or memorable) story whatsoever.

If anyone out there is practicing skeeting ...
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If there's something I'm tempted to get rid of, it's gone.  I work at a shop that, among other things, trades DVDs, so anything that I can't stand leaves.  Quickly.  So this is long gone, but left an indelibly bad memory.

Genocyber: The Collection

Region 1

Released: 8/15/2000

Full Frame 1.33:1

By far the worst piece of crap I have ever seen.  I couldn't even sit through it.  Hideously bad plot (they must have made this up as they went along), decent animation alternating with exceedingly sloppy animation, over-the-top ultraviolence mishmashed together in such a way as to create something that makes no sense whatsoever.  Reviews say you might understand it after watching it a few times...  <grimace>

Really, words can't describe how bad this is.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I barely made it to the first hour so I decided to called it quits. Maybe I'll give it a second try someday, But I vividly remember that me and my mother almost felt asleep watching it (the first hour that is).

Because it didn't do justice to the book. Too much was changed from it. Another one I've already destroyed was 'Battlefield Earth'
Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer.

I might feel the temptation sometimes, but what I do is that I take those movies to the second hand DVD-stores and hope that they will be accepted as partial payment... so far so good.

The last one I can remember was M. Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water blu-ray that I "destroyed" from my collection this way. I can't remember having ever seen a movie that I have found to be more pretentious and self-indulgent.

Off the top of my head it would be The Happening, but I'd have to burn it because if I threw it away I might find it again!

Region 4

Released: 06.06.2006

Anamorphic 2.35:1

Runner up would be:
Ultraviolet

Regions: 2, 4, 5

Released: 14.08.2006

Anamorphic 1.85:1

Good choices... they would be on my list too only I'd have put them the other way around.

I just felt Ultraviolet was especially bad because it had such potential which was never realised and then, to top it, the highly touted CGI was like a 10 year old PC game in places ((I have the extended US R1 Ultraviolet but it doesn't help).

I think I'd add:

Space Marines

Region 2

Released: 27/09/1999

Full Frame 1.33:1

If you're going to make an action B-movie make the action decent even if you can't get anyone who can act or a plot without any semblence of sense... and at least try to distract from the failings of an already 18 rated film with some nudity of the nice looking women!

Curse of the Wolf

All Regions

Released: 12/10/2009

Widescreen 1.85:1

Watched this the other day... not sure where to start with the critique of everything from the acting (totally over the top 'stage' acting with classic errors like pauses before being interrupted), technical aspects (sounds like it was shot with on-camera microphones, home-movie picture quality, werewolf costumes from a fancy dress shop that don't even cover the actors bare arms), and plot (semi-decent premise which then loses all semblence of sense)... possible plusses are the occasional 10 seconds of naturalistic acting (which just show up the amateur 'stage' acting of the rest), the actors can do the action/fight scenes (though over half the time the editing just shows how 'done in small set pieces' the fights are) and the nudity is quite natural and isn't totally pointless... a great film to show film making students what shouldn't be done!
