So what does one do with Spanish/French/Swiss co-productions?

But - what are we doing with movies from before 1997?

Hong Kong...?

I was asking because I don't really know if Hong Kong would count as an independent country or being part of the british empire. I really don't...

One person is voting No to contributions using "United Kingdom" as the country of origin because "UK not a country.  Should be England."

Now obviously England is not an option and this person is pissed off about it or unaware of it.

If unchanged should his/her vote be considered an abuse?

So far PMs to this user have gone unread...

With co-productions I would enter the country where the first production company listed in the credits is based. But then this field should be changed, so that (almost) every possible country combination could be entered.

The UK is a country. I should know, I bloody live here!

Send that person to me and I will deal with them appropriately

If there is a 'main' or 'leading' country in the co-productions, people tend to be putting them first.

While your question is politically correct, I think for our purposes we just stick with Hong Kong. Actually, after my previous post, I started to think if I should keep Hong Kong for movies produced there after 1997 as well; if anything, at least local...
