| Posted: | | | | I also think he is just a bit bored and after 8Ballmax explaining the situation I think there is not much to worry about Older people just have to get used to, that the times have changed. Internet, gaming, online shopping have replaced old habits. It is evolution, if you like it or not. Another example: Today you chat thru the internet with your friends and write emails. In the past you wrote real letters , phoned or met em to chat. As long as he has no porn or drug addiction, he should be fine. Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |

There are many elements of the community that could use help - kids who need to learn to read (in Spanish), tutoring in math or computers, older people who just need a friendly face to come by and visit - the list goes on and on ... History is filled with accounts of intelligent people, bored with the 'ordinary", who turned out to be "extraordinary" once they found a cause to motivate their enthusiam and creativity. Perhaps your son is one of them?
Best of luck to you. That's an excelent idea . Don't know why it never occurred to me to look into that before. The job was important, not because it kept him out of the apartment or for the money, but because it was teaching him self-reliance and responsibility. He liked his job and the people he worked with and he's a little disappointed that they let him go. I told him that in this economy we were pretty fortunate that we found him that job so quickly but that in these hard times, small business are having to tighten their belts too. Volunterrism could be a good thing as well. I will definately look into it. Thank you for the suggestion . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Quote: volunteerism. That sounds like a fetish Well it isn't. But what it shares in common is that you can get great satisfaction from it. And if you develop a passion for a cause that helps your fellow man, you can achieve success and admiration from the community. Also, there are usually lots of business and professional people involved. A good way to "network" that can even result in job opportunities. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | I was addicted to Super Nintendo and Playstation 1. When PS2 came out I told myself I wanted to have a social life and get some girls, so I quit cold-turkey. Not sure if this can help, but maybe mention to him that most girls don't dig video games or gamers and let the teen hormones take care of the rest. I was early 20's when I quit, so it can be done. |

My son isn’t from the US. He is from Madrid, Spain where he has been living with his mother for almost 20 years. He speaks very little to no English. He came here to the US in July for a 2 week vacation but asked me if he could stay here for a few months so that we could get to know each other. I was a little hesitant at first because Why wouldn't you move to Spain to be with him. That's what I would've done. |

You're a vindictive little twit...just like a 12 year old . You don't like a post in another thread so you pop into another to leave moronic comments like this? I knew there had to be a reason for your odd behavior. . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I didn't revisit another thread and post moronic comments in it as a form of vindictive retaliation.
