| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately, in cases like this when users are flailing around trying everything, details get lost. Here are some things to keep in mind:
(1) The more things you change, the more difficult the diagnosis can be. Be careful about using 3rd party tools, erasing things, etc. Try to keep some kind of log. If you try something that can be reversed, and it doesn't work, put it back the way it was if possible. Otherwise, you are potentially adding to the problem.
(2) Re-installing the program is likely to be useless unless you reboot in-between. Rebooting insures that in-memory copies of programs and DLLs are deleted, and when the OS restarts, it will be with the new environment. So, uninstall, reboot (at least once, twice won't hurt), then re-install.
(3) For best repeatability, take a system checkpoint before any major change - yes, a pain in the butt, but it just might save your butt if you mess something up.
(4) In the case of DVD Profiler, no diagnosis is accurate if you have plugins running. Disable all plugins until you figure out what is going on. | | | Thanks for your support. But the problem continues | | | Last edited: by jjom |

| Posted: | | | | Spamming will not fix your problem. A better use of your time in this forum would be to describe in detail what you did. You can't "reset the program" by doing a database restore. You only reset the database. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | The first thing I did was to perform the procedures indicated by the support. Did not solve Second, was to uninstall the program, remove all folders and files from %LocalAppData%\DVD Profiler, and run a database restore Did not solve Third, I followed the forum suggestions It did not solve, and so it continues. My last question has to do with the lack of response from the support. No longer exists? No solutions? Since I am Portuguese, I am using Google Translate. |

My last question has to do with the lack of response from the support. No longer exists? No solutions? Since I am Portuguese, I am using Google Translate. Ok, I understand the language problem. My son's wife is Portuguese, so I would like to help you! First of all, in terms of Support. Nobody knows what is going on. So forget about that. Be happy we still have a web site. Someday we will know, or Invelos will close, or whatever, Until then, there is nothing you can do by complaining. Now, in terms of your problem. Please, you must respond to this advice, point by point, in detail. If you need to send me something in Portuguese by PM, do it. Maybe my daughter can help. (1) First, do you have another PC? If so, please try to install DVD Profiler on that one, and see if the same problem occurs. If it works, You must answer this question to me, in order for me to understand a little bit more about your problem. If you can do that, (a) open a NEW database, (b) restore from the old backup, (c) run full repair, then make a new backup and also XML export. (2) If you are able to do (1), try the clean backup on the other system where you are having trouble. If you still have problems, send me the XML export file (use Drop Box or something like that). (3) If (1) does not work, please describe EXACTLY what you did, each step, and what happened, all messages, screen shots, everything. If you only say something like, "I did what you said and it did not work ..." it will be a waste of time for me. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. You are not telling the whole story. Your PM to me said that when you went to a new PC and restored your database, everything was fine. You sent me two XML files, both of which loaded into ProfilerQuery with no errors. Your error reports are missing critical information, so I do not believe your results. You say you have missing flags. How do you know? Do you have a saved flag set? If so, then why don't you just reload it. You did not respond to my suggested next steps after your PM to me that the new PC worked. Why did you not honestly tell everybody that your old PC is broken, and the new PC worked? Quote:
I did the restore with a backup copy (bad PC), and it does not present any problem. It's working properly.
Did you even try to fix the broken PC using the Microsoft program I told you about? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | I've done everything, on the alternative PC, everything is fine. In the new laptop, I have done everything, removed everything, install again, the problem continues. I looked at Microsoft, and the information I find indicates that the problem will be in the DVD Profile program. I have two PCs, a desktop and a laptop. On the desktop everything works fine. On the laptop stopped working. Windows has the same version in both. I do not know what's happening. I'M NOT A LIAR. This is my problem. | | | Last edited: by jjom |

Sorry I didn't intend to say you were lying, but if you ask for advice from people who can help you, then don't follow it, without any good reason, then you are wasting time. Example: "I looked at Microsoft, and the information I find indicates that the problem will be in the DVD Profile program." What does "I looked at" mean? Did you run the program? I think not. "Windows has the same version in both." Totally meaningless. I'm surprised that you don't know that it is far more complicated than the "windows version." If it were that simple, then you could say the DVD Profiler version is the same on both PCs. Now what? Stop avoiding the obvious hard work you must do to fix that broken machine. That is your real problem. End of my advice. I truly wish you the best of luck - I really mean it. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | jjom, since the Tahoma font is the most common cause of this error, are you 100% sure that you replaced the Tahoma font successfully? Perhaps you should give it another try. I would recommend the following: 1) Close Profiler and any other program that may be using fonts. 2) Go into the Fonts section of the Windows Control Panel. 3) Delete the Tahoma font. 4) Reboot 5) Download a fresh Tahoma font. 6) Install the downloaded font.
It's a bit of a long shot, but it's worth trying rather than giving up on DVD Profiler. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

It's a bit of a long shot, but it's worth trying rather than giving up on DVD Profiler. I can not delete. It says "it's a protected system font" |

| Posted: | | | | Ah, yes, I forgot that Tahoma is a protected system font. That makes it a little bit tricky to delete. You can find instructions in the video below. Before fiddling with regedit you might want to create a system restore point, just to be on the safe side. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
