However, it's got me thinking if there're any movies that have tried to depict a similar sort of outbreak.

On Topic: There's two I watched just last week:
- Contagion by Steven Soderbergh which is quit realistic
- Outbreak by Wolfgang Petersen which also paints a good picture about how something like this can spread

On the other topic:
Here in Holland we don't have a lock down perse, but practically spoken it's almost the same.
We work at home, when possible. All theaters, cinema's (!), bars, restaurants and so on are closed. A lot of chain stores are closed too. And the air is getting cleaner because there is much less traffic and other activity.
I really miss the cinema and the occasional beer with my friends and I'm pretty sure that this will stay like this for another couple of weeks.

But hey, as long as we stay healthy it's OK and I can catch up after everything gets normal again.

These were the 2 I was going to mention, but the link SpikyCactus provided listed those.

There seems to be surprisingly few films really, although IMDb has a fair list of titles.  I can't help thinking there might be a few more movies coming along in the next few years though.

A bit off topic but as I started it...

Any good songs about viruses?

This is Virus by Sonic Boom Six from 2012.  Great song by a great live band; seen them loads of times.
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...

KMFDM has a song titled "Virus"  (It's an AMV, but the song is the same either way, and this was the way I first heard the song)

And I totally have plans to watch Masque of the Red Death as my pandemic movie soon.  Planning to get Contagion in as well.  Just have 3 more films to watch in March Around the World first.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I found another one. The Invasion from 2007 has the same vibe.

Got another song: Sell Out by Punks Not Dad.  It's all about Tesco (UK's largest supermarket chain) being sold out of everything.

I normally get most of my groceries delivered, but for weeks I've not been able to get a delivery slot because they've all been snapped up by old people ordering teabags and crumpets. I don't have a car and the nearest supermarket is a 25 minute walk away, so as I'm working full-time I'm slowly starving to death; and don't even ask about the toilet paper situation.... The irony being that most of my work at the moment is driving home grocery delivery vans between stores or stores and garages, for Sainsbury's and Tesco.

Just found this: Man Flu by the same band. It's not quite the same but the information in the video may be helpful.
