Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) ------
I've sent you an image of the error dialogue.
[edit] Although, googling this error gives a lot of hits, so it may be a .NET issue. Got the error again but this time I was able to reproduce it. Manual profile: Last Watched not set. Select the profile in Collection List view. No error. Set a date for Last Watched. Select another profile and then back... and wham, error. Played around with this awhile w/o review set, but it seems to have something to do with Last Watched (empty=ok/a date=nok). That said, it could be some additional surcumstance in my particullar collection that produce the error when doing the above. Anyways... would be cool to know if someone else can reproduce this error. |

| Posted: | | | | I've been getting this error for some time, but I haven't had time to investigate closely. My general experiences agree with yours, although I don't use the wish list, so I expect that the problem isn't dependent on which collection is used. Once the problem begins the only way I have found to clear it is to restart dvdprofiler, which takes roughly forever on my under-powered machine. The problem doesn't seem to be anything but annoying, despite the name I expect that it's some sort of unhanded exception that simply needs to be ignored, but that's your area of expertise. If I can help at all, just ask (now I have some time, ironically ) | | | -fred |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks guys. I couldn't reproduce it on 2.13, which is the one I'm working on now. I had already discovered and fixed some suspect database operations - hopefully that also fixed the errors you are seeing. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Never do anything with wishlist. |

Here is what I changed: - Added new database operations in an attempt to prevent the observed exception conditions - Fixed "Flag Between" to work correctly across box sets - Added "Flag Children" - Suppressed display of Locality when clone by disc ID - Locality dropdown is now sorted aplphabetically. US is still default. - Checkmarks and other options are now saved within a session (when OK pressed, not Cancel) - Added CountAs checkbox - Added checkboxes for Clear CountAs, Clear Events, Clear Collection#, Clear Review based on the presence of trigger keywords in Label Side A of the parent profile. You can supply a list of keywords, separated by "|". For example, to check for "Bonus" or "Episode", use "Bonus | Episode". I assume this will work for any language. Maybe you can try some Swedish as a test?
BTW, there is no way for a plugin to set the "None" checkbox for collection number. Sorry. OMG!!! Dis so wickid coool! *rushinghometotest* [edit] So far, I have NOT seen that error!!! Tested Count As and it seem to work, so I have no doubt the other new stuff works aswell. Love the new trigger and will play around with it some more Thanks for all your hard work! | | | Last edited: by xyrano |

Thanks for all your hard work! My pleasure. Any performer loves playing to a receptive audience! Notice there is more space for trigger functions. If, over time, you discover other useful trigger actions, we can add them. They don't need to be necessrily tied to the same field, or always "clear". Now that the basic code is there, I can more or less cut and paste to make new ones. And, as far as the API goes, there are so many details in DVDP, I can understand how things can be overlooked, or pehaps deemed not important. The None checkbox would not be in the category of things intentionally omitted for competitive reasons, IMHO. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Hi again,
I still haven't seen that error :D
Now however, I have another problem and its with the Notes field and Bulk Edit.
In DVDP and in 1 of my profiles, the content of the notes field look like this: Ordered: 91019 Delivered: 91019 Received: 91021 Retreived: 91023
I edited the notes field in Bulk Edit and it looked exactly as above (each on a new line and no extra line inbetween) but in DVDP this content now looks like this: Ordered: 91019Received: 91021Retreived: 91023
Doing the edit again adding extra lines inbetween the data has no effect. I'm on SWE keyboard and have HTML in Notes OFF (if that helps).
I did edit ~500 profiles and all look awful now. I realy don't want to edit all 500 "by hand".
I suspect that whatever character combination that is written to the notes textfield in Bulk Edit hitting the Enter/Return key using non-US keyboard layouts (char set?) must be translated to that used by DVDP (w/o opt HTML in Notes) in Bulk Edits save operation.
Please, help! |

Oh well, two steps forward, one back ... Anyway, the good news is that line ending characters should be language independent, and the problem is more likely a plain old "bug". While I stare at my code a bit, do me a favor and send me a small backup file, say 2 profiles each of "before" and "after" a Notes edit, showing the problem you are describing. Even after the bug has been fixed, I might have to give you a custom script to unravel the prior errors, but we'll cross that bridge later. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. You programmer, you... Backups is on the way... soonish Although, I can't help thinking if you edited one of your profiles Notes adding text on a couple of lines then fire up Bulk Edit. Does the notes look the same in Bulk Edit? How does it look in DVDP after you changed some of the text in Bulk Edit? Wait, you need the Enter/Return characters my setup is giving, right? Custom script!? Hell yea! Bring it! [edit] Backup files has been sent. | | | Last edited: by xyrano |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I just emailed you two versions: V2.16X that can be used ONLY to fix the old updates, and V2.16 which is the new production version, if you confirm that it works for future updates after the V2.16X fixes have been applied. It has to be done in that order, or you will lose the ability to do it automatically. Also, make sure not to do any other Notes editing with V2.16X. It is a "fixup" version that does not work correctly for normal editing of the Notes field. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here.
