| Posted: | | | | Quoting mediadogg: Quote: Ok, I just emailed you two versions: V2.16X that can be used ONLY to fix the old updates, and V2.16 which is the new production version, if you confirm that it works for future updates after the V2.16X fixes have been applied. It has to be done in that order, or you will lose the ability to do it automatically. Also, make sure not to do any other Notes editing with V2.16X. It is a "fixup" version that does not work correctly for normal editing of the Notes field. 2.16X worked flawlessly! 2.16 is working too. Ze, I told uiz a wickedy programmer! With 2.16 I can not type a full stop (as in nothing happens when I press the [.] key), but don't recall if I ever could. In DVDP full stop works. Not a biggy, just thought you should know. Many thanks for your speedy help! |

Not a biggy, just thought you should know. Yipes! Weird one. Probably never worked, since Overview editing has the same issue, and I vaguely remember seeing the problem and then forgot to follow up. Anyway, this one may take awhile, as there is no explicit character filtering going on, so it must be something subtle - maybe having to do with code pages ... | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | No worry or hurry, m8! When ever you get to it, it be great! Other findings: I found another "strange" thing. Sorting on Purchase Date doesn't work (I could really use it), haven't checked other date fields though. Neither does Sorting on Notes field (not so needed, but still) haven't checked Overview. Multi-Copy Tool 2: I found I missed a find next button the other day (just find no edit using Look for field). I also wish I could use regular expressions in Look for and Replace with fields. Example: Look for: ^(\d){2,5} Replace with: $1 Any chance you could suppress the backup message on startup on second or more startups per DVDP session? This too is no biggy, just if its easy and/or if you think its worth to do. I frequently wish I could use a different font-family in your excellent tools (just to give example I'd say QD has nice look/choise of font and size). Again, it's no biggy! Last touch would be to add a icon to your tools instead of the default one :D I feel like a whining sob |

My first priority is always bugs, then missing functions, then frills as time permits. So, I'll keep all those things from your post, in mind for the future, according to that guideline. I'm glad that you are getting value from my efforts. Two questions: (1) What does this do in words? Edit: I found some Regex code for search / replace. Looking at it. Look for: ^(\d){2,5} Replace with: $1 (2) I didn't quite understand what functions you wanted Icons for? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Two questions:
(1) What does this do in words? Edit: I found some Regex code for search / replace. Looking at it.
Look for: ^(\d){2,5} Replace with: $1 This particular regexpr finds characters that are digits only and between 2 to 5 digits from the start. Then replace that with whatever exists in the Replace with field. Basically, it cleans those fields that start with digits 2-5 from any and all characters after the digits.
(2) I didn't quite understand what functions you wanted Icons for? Oh, no functions, just the little icon in the top left corner of the windows (your tools). I guess, that falls under frills section |

| Posted: | | | | I tested something new and unticked Title, Original title and Sort title during a "Clone children from disc ids" of 1 profile. I wanted the description of each disc to be added to Title and Sort title fields, but it did not. Any chance you could make that happen. I would use that frequently, in case you do In case you don't; It should not be possible to clone with all those three unticked (or having the required field you use as a title on the disc profiles unticked). Because it did not add anything to any of the Title fields I had to do a DB Repair, which fixed the indexing of the thumbnails, after that I had to assign the disc again to the Box set. All is working again. |

All is working again. Creating a broken profile under any circumstances, I consider to be a bug. I will fix that. The other suggestion, I am not comfortable with. You know, you can use Row Copy to copy the disc info to the title in one operation. Let me know if that doesn't work. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I'll let you know when I do a Row Copy Ok, but when I post V2.17, I plan to take a break from BulkEdit for awhile, so I was trying to close up any losse ends. Still investigating the inability to enter 3 characters, including "full stop." No clue at the moment. I was able to do just about everything except the sorting and teh icon, whatever that is about . | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Still investigating the inability to enter 3 characters, including "full stop." No clue at the moment. I was able to do just about everything except the sorting and teh icon, whatever that is about . A IE browser has an icon in top left corner of the window, i.e. [icon] Invelos Software, Inc. Forum - Windows Internet Explorer. It is that icon but for your Bulk edit tools I was refering to (all I imagine). Right now your tools use the default plug-in icon (from Visual Studio, I imagine). Consider using a smaller version of the Bulk edit icon used inside DVD Profiler instead (it looks like a white form with a yellow'ish pen). Doing a custom icon will look more professional, me thinks. Like I said, probably belongs in the frills section I seriously doubt anything "bad" will happen if I use Row copy instead (even though I still think my suggestion would be faster ). Anyways, I look forward to 2.17 Thank you for all your hard work! | | | Last edited: by xyrano |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I understand the Icon now. I put it in, but it does not show on any form without a control box. If you know a way around that, let me know. We agree that the column copy by row is a viable solution. Your assertion that it might be "slower" than what doesn't exist, is not motivation enough for me to do the extra work. I guess if you are too busy to check it out, then maybe it wasn't that important anyway. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here.
