Skip It is a genre as far as DVDP is concerned, and there is no Rule regarding its position in the genre list, therefore its position in the list is a personal preference no matter where it is put by whomever. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe there should just be a new section, and certain genres selections such as TV, anime, animation, accessories etc. could be put in as tickboxes in the same way as Special Features, along with other categorisations that aren't definitive genres, such as those mentioned above. |

| Posted: | | | | I have to agree with them that you said... as if it was a pure fact... Quote: The only reason Television was ever allowed to be added as a genre in the first place was so that users could sort their TV series in their collections for report purposes. It was never meant to be uploaded to the online database as the primary genre. After all you stated it like it was a pure fact and not an opinion. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I think putting Television in any particular slot, whether #1, #2, or #3, is a personal preference. There is nothing in the rules which demand where within the three genre slots this catagory ought to go, so all else is simply personal preference. And I, too, believe it ought to be included on every DVD where the source material appeared on TV first. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Skip I will challenge anyone who makes statements that are presented as facts. Especially if they sound like they are quoting the Rules or Invelos. It is possible that I missed this pronouncement somewhere along the way. If so, I wish to be set straight. If not, then I do not want others to be misled. Why is that a problem for you? | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Then my questions would be... did he say to treat them differently then other genres? Did he mean and include Television in this statement? and then I would also say it needs to be found, re-stated by him... or such information to be put into the rules.
I for one couldn't go off someone else's memory what very well may be correct... but could also only be partially correct... or could be a complete misunderstanding for all I know. | | | Pete |

I would personally like to see it somehow moved from genres without loosing this information though. What Addicted said... it's not really a genre as such but, as that's where it is at the moment, it is THE most important 'genre' info to put in for TV series or TV movies | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

The implication was that they should somehow be treated differently. I'm just trying to find out where that came from? | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | I think all television series should be labelled as 'televison' however, it shouldn't be in the genre. Maybe a future release could include a classification or sub-format area where we can tick a "Television, Cinema or Direct-to-Video" button? | | | "It's gonna be pee-pee pants city here real soon!"—Negan |
