What's yours?

There are so many.

Forbidden Planet 1956 was great, with lines like:

Have no apprehensions, Sir. My built-in reflexes are infallible.

At least watch where you're going.
Not necessary. I do everything by positronic transfiguration.

If you do not speak English I am at your disposal with 187 other languages
along with their various dialects and sub-tongues.

Would make a good tagline for the translations forum.

What I didn't see, or overlooked, is The Andromeda Strain 1971 by my man Robert Wise, director of The Day the Earth Stood Still 1951 and The Haunting 1963.

Love Phase IV 1974.

Love TRON 1982.

Love The Thing 1982:

Why don't we just wait here for a little while... see what happens?
Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect]

UN-FRIGGING-BELIEVABLE!!

What about the picture that concerned a technologically advanced race taking on the appearance of the relatively backward native population in order to achieve their goals?

Of course the natives manage to drive away the interlopers and, presumably, go about their merry way.

And even in 3-D!

Of course I'm referring to "It Came From Outer Space".  For some reason all of this sounds vaguely familiar.  Perhaps there's another film that no one thinks much of also.

There's another 3D science fiction film I prefer to It Came from Outer Space...

Cat Women of the Moon

Sonny Tufts!
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Trailer for you guys
Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space (apparently loosely based on The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon).

Also, I saw some love for Hoshi No Koe - Voices of a Distant Star earlier. Bear with the trailer.

I was going to post a trailer for the excellent short film Pale Cocoon, but it contains spoilers, so I won't. The short film is definitely worth checking out.

I always seem to forget that 12 Monkeys, The Jacket and The Butterfly Effect are sci-fi. I guess I sometimes even forget that about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I guess that says something about those films.

A few more trailers

Even though I prefer the original Korean trailer (also on YouTube), this one is English-friendly.
