| Posted: | | | | Quoting Piffi: Quote: Oh, cool Sreh! I didnt know that.. That it was only popular etc in Norway\Scandinavia. Cool! And the 6 last movies in the series, is just awesome. I really like all the 12 movies, but i think the last 6 is the best movies in the series. And i know the 6 last movies was\is very popular here in Norway.. So i both hope and think that if you got the first 6, you will get the last 6 aswell I have been collecting all the ALL INTERNATIONAL CRIME DRAMAS from Mhz Networks Home Entertainment. With the US TV series crime dramas being reduced to 42 minutes, I like the fact that most are a movies series, (90 mimutes), thus giving the time to fully develop the characters and story. Maybe it is the SAABs, I drove one from 19884 until I retired. Great acoustics, build 12 speaker system in it, took the back deck and built cabnet for the bass speakers. Had it all souped up. Currently collecting the Maigret (French) series, 1 thru 4. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | Hehe, real cool! Alot of good Scandinavian crime\drama movies out there. If you like the Varg Veum saga, i think you would enjoy the Swedish Wallander and the Swedish Beck aswell. Really good crime\drama, and that is 90 minutes long aswell! Highly recommanded =) |

| Posted: | | | | And while you're at it, also try The Bridge (Bron/Broen), which is Swedish/Danish! Episodes are an hour long. The title refers to the bridge over the Sont connecting the two countries. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

Video: Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: Engelsk: DTS-HD Master Audio: 5.1 Subtitles: Dansk, Finsk, Norsk, Svensk Stars:Nicolas Cage January Jones Guy Pearce Jennifer Carpenter Harold Perrineau Xander Berkeley (1955) Plot:In New Orleans, English teacher of the high school Rampart High, Will Gerard, and his wife, musician Laura Gerard, are in love with each other. In return, the organisation would want a favor from Will in the future. Will agrees, and the criminal is murdered. Six months later, Simon collects his debt with Will. He demands that Will kill Alan Marsh, a pedophile. Will accidentally kills Alan and soon he learns that the victim was an awarded journalist that was investigating the organization. Now he seeks evidences to prove his innocence but the network of the organization is powerful and is seeking Will out to eliminate him. Extras:My Thoughts: Yeah, well.. Didnt know what i was expect going in to this movie, heard a bit different things about it. Both that Mr.Cage did a great job as the lead, and that he did a bad job as the lead. Boring movie, great movie. Perfect! So my expectations was at a 0 this time. I wanted to see this movie beacuse different reasons, one of them is that i am a big fan of the oldschool Nic Cage. Hoped i would see him in this one, but not really. But the movie in itself was quite nice actually. A good mix between suspence and thriller IMO. The story was interesting for me aswell. And they had you guessing trough-out the movie, and there was a few twists in the movie (wich i always like!) The movie was slow at times, but it moved kinda steady too. (if steady is a word) And i have to say that i liked Nic Cage in the lead, i think he did a good job. And i think January Jones did a good job aswell. And it was nice to see Jennifer Carpenter (even tho she had a tiny role in this one) A movie that i would recommand for almost everyone! I could find myself watching it again :D My Rating: 4/6 |

I been wanting to check it out every since I saw the first trailer... as I have been enjoying the American Pie movies. While I still enjoyed it... this one lost a little something the others had. I don't know... just know I didn't laugh as much during this one as I did the previous movies. It isn't a bad movie... just not up to par with the rest. I did get a bit of a kick out of Alyson Hannigan's character. But then I always did like her. This is one that is definitely worth checking out... just don't expect too much. My Rating: Out of a Possible Five

| Posted: | | | | So you've seen all of the 7-8 movies? I remember i watched American Pie 1 and 2, when the original cast\crew was playing in it.. But after that (for me, everything went downhill) And now they are back in the last one (?) and they got the original crew back! But i dont know about that one. Beacuse of different reasons. One reason is that i havent watch any American Pie movies since the original people quit. So i dont know what i've missed, and is it like i have to watch them all in order to know what the last one is about? Or can i just watch the last one without checking out the movies in between? And i dont know what to expect either. Heard so much about it and stuff.. So i am a little curious. Beacuse i really liked the first two American Pie movies!
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | Well I really wasn't counting the "American Pie Presents" movies. I consider them separate from the American Pie movies. Including the "Presents" movies... I have all but 1. The "Presents" movies are ok.... but nothing much to them.
So no you don't have to worry about missing them or anything. The only original cast member that I believe is in all of them is Eugene Levy | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

| Posted: | | | | Title: Grim: Season One, Blury UPC: 025192152740 Year: 2011 Rating: Not rated Length: about 16 hours. Genre: Fantasy, Crime, Horror, Suspense, Mystery, Drama Video: Widescreen 1:78:1 Audio: Engelsk: DTS-HD Master Audio: 5.1 Subtitles: English
Stars: David Giuntoli Detective Nick Burkhardt Russell Hornsby Hank Griffin Bitsie Tulloch. Juliette Silverton Silas Weir Mitchell Monroe Sasha Roiz Captain Sean Renard Reggie Lee Sgt. Wu
Plot: The creators, David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf were looking cheap source materal, public domian, for a series, thus the Grimm's Fairy Tales. Set in modern day Portland, Oregon, for its near by scenic beauty and forests, Detective Nick Burkhardt, descndant of the Brothers Grimms, inherits the ability to to see creatures and monsters that look human to everyone else.
In the pilot Nickas is paid a visit by his Aunt, Marie nearing her death from cancer informs him that his hereditary job is to hunt down and kill these evil creatures, collectively known as Wesen (pronounced "Vessin"). The only other help he gets is from the chronicles of previous Grimm's centuries worth, that are stored in Marie's trailer. Each week Nick is presented with another crime/mystery that's somehow related to a fairy tale.
Extras: Bluray Exclusive Grimm Guide: Explore the creatures of Grimm with this interactive guide. • The World of Grimm Discover the characters, creatures and inspiration behind the storylines. • Gag Reel • Grimm: Making Monsters Go behind the scenes with the teams who bring the monsters to life. • Audition Tapes • VFX Progressions • Highlight Reels • Deleted and Extended Scenes
My Thoughts: Even I need a little diversion from my favorite run of the mill crime drama series thus a little fantasy.
Some of the stories are quite good too, with a new and interesting twist on old folk stories. One of the problems with adapting fables is that everyone knows how they end, but the writers change things around just enough so that everyone know what the inspiration for the tale is and they're different enough that the finale isn't a foregone conclusion. There is a little continuity involving the larger world of Wesen, in particular those that hunt Grimms, and largely plays out as a monster-of-the-week program
The pilot is one of the weakest episodes in the series and the episodes do get better the series progresses. The two leads, David Giuntoli, Detective Nick Burkhardt and Russell Hornsby, Detective Hank Griffin have very little chemistry on screen. The supporting characters are fantastic, and much more interesting than the leads. Silas Weir Mitchell, Monrore steals the show, playing the reformed Big Bad Wolf with just the right mixture of humor so that his character is fun and gets laughs without being silly or a buffoon. Likewise Reggie Lee's Sgt. Wu is light and entertaining and the show's most enjoyable when he's on the screen.
The crime fighting and detective work isn't up to CSI standards, but our Grimm has a secret to keep, so his crime solving methods not exactly kosher.
The show is part supernatural horror and part police procedural, falls a little short of the mark in either genre. The horror elements are not as scary nor suspenseful as it should be and the mysteries are pretty lame and the police work is questionable t times. The program is entertaining and get better as the series progresses. I think that the show suffers from the network episode time constraints of 42.5 to 43.5 minute time constants.
The packaging could have been better, the DVDs are inserted in thin press board pockets to that ensures the data side of the disc will be rubbed every time someone removes or replaces a disc.
The sound and special effects are pretty good for a network series.
I found the series interesting and entertaining and I am looking forward the next season to see how the show progresses. Since I haven't even head or thought about the subject in some 60 or more years I bought a copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales for my Nook.

She lives with her obsessive former ballerina mother Erica (Hershey) who exerts a suffocating control over her. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side - a recklessness that threatens to destroy her. Extras:Scenevalg Feature Trailers Dokumentar BD-Live Digital Copy My Thoughts: Well, going in to this movie i didnt really know what to think or expect. And i am not a fan of dancing movies at all! But when it comes to this movie. I've heard so much about it, how great it is and how much more it is then just ballet. And its been alot of fuzz about the movie, beacuse of the much talked about love scene between Nat Portman and Mila Kunis. And the people i've spoken to just loved Nat Portman in the movie. And going in to the movie i was a bit sceptical about it. But i got positivly suprised by the movie. Even though its a movie about ballet, its so much more. In the movie we are following a girls dream to go to the top, and how she's willing to pay for it. I liked the story of the movie. Its a strong movie in many ways. And the Natalie Portmans role, wow.. The Oscar she got for it, very well deserved! (IMO) And i gotta admit, both Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis is very hot! Its a movie i recommand you guys to check out! Even though you dont like dance movies. (i dont like dance movies) and i liked this one alot. And you would never get me to watch Dirty Dancing or Billy Elliot f.ex My Rating: 4.5/6 | | | Last edited: by Piffi |

And the lead actors did a great job with what they had to work with! I understand why the movie won 5 Osars. And this is a movie that i highly recommand for you guys that like the silent and black\white era.. Just amazing IMO.. Not perfect, but almost perfect. Sounds easy enough for two logical adults, right? Not so much. They soon realize romantic comedy stereotypes might exist for a reason. Extras:Scenevalg Audio Commentary Bonus Trailers Slettede scener Dokumentar Outtakes/Bloopers BD-Live My Thoughts: Usually i'm not a big fan of comedys. It is so easy to mess up a comedy from good to real bad. So i dont have high expectations when it comes to comedys. (Jim Carrey is a person i really love, when it comes to comedys. He's about it.) But this movie started of red hot, and hilarious.. Made me laugh alot, the story was cute aswell. But the movie lost its pace a bit, but Mila and Justin made it work. And the lines was pretty fun at times too. And even with the laughs, the movie had its serious points aswell. For me this was a easy and cheap fun. And it never hurts to see Mila Kunis naked! A comedy i recommand for some easy fun and laughs My Rating: 4/6 |

A cool and collected Brit thriller, The Heavy also stars Christopher Lee, Sadie Frost, Shannyn Sossamon and Lee Ryan, with a soundtrack by Paul Oakenfold. Extras:Scenevalg Bonus Trailers Dokumentar My Thoughts: Oh, well. I dont mind a good british action flick. Seen a few good ones actullay. And going in to this one, i maby expected too much. It was cool to see Vinnie Jones back again. (long time since i've seen him in any movies) But yeah, that was cool, and of course Vinnie as a dirty cop. I think he did a good job. But for me the story in the movie was a bit to weak, something i've seen often before. And the movie was too slow for me, to be a good actionflick. There was a few good scenes, but it didnt happend much really trough out the movie. For me, this was a boring movie unfortuntaly. A movie that i wouldnt recommand to watch. :\ My Rating: 2/6 |
