Adding Custom Genres is not officially supported by the Invelos plugin toolkit, so my code uses a workaround that is subject to break whenever DVDP is upgraded and certain internals are changed. I'll keep an eye on it - meanwhile, a request to update the toolkit has been on record for some time.

Ok thanks. I usually scan this thread before updates, so I ought to fix this on the next cycle. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | In this post CharlieM pointed out a possible need for something like "Clone to Variant" to handle multiple movies on one disc reworking. Is Variant already available via the plug-in api? Edit: Or maybe it is solvable via "Clone to Manual...". Unfortunately v2.58 doesnt't work with the Beta(?) so could you pm me the link to the 2.6 preview? (testing on a virtual machine, so no permanent harm can be done) | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki | | | Last edited: by Mithi |

I'm waiting for the discussion to settle and also to see if Ken does it in the main program - we would all cheer. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Try http:\\www.mediadogg.com I am also working on a couple of bugs, but depending on what you want to do, the version 2.60 should be OK. Let me know ASAP what problems you find. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm very interesting in trying this plugin out per the ability to clone a normal profile to a manual one. Once installing the plugin the directory is present here, "C:\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\Plugins\BulkEdit". Sadly, when launching DVD Profiler at that point the plugin is not present within the interface. I'm having the same issue with the LoadDVD plugin still. After encountering the issue I decided to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it after first performing a fresh installation of DVD Profiler (Version 3.8.2 Build 1542), so I uninstalled DVD Profiler completely, removed any directories left behind, restarted my computer (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit / Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1), reinstalled DVD Profiler, restored my database, then closed down DVD Profiler before running the BulkEdit installation file. Still no dice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | Additional note to share per my prior post. Just for grins I decided to try installing a different plugin. Figured if I encountered the same issue that would be telling. As such, I downloaded and installed the Database Query plugin. No issues. Once installed it was present within DVD Profiler where it should be and working without issue. And not sure if this is useful to know or not, but prior to installing the Database Query plugin and using it the directory, "C:\Users\AlienM15x\AppData\Local\DVD Profiler" was not present. Afterwards it was. Don't have a clear understanding of how all this works, so I just thought I'd mention it. I've also tried reinstalling the BulkEdit (...and LoadDVD) plugins since installing the Database Query plugin. Still no dice. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | In this post, you said that LoadDVD Pro installed OK. What happened in the interim? Also, note that you can create manual profiles (one at a time) with the main program (DVD Profiler). You don't need BulkEdit for that. Let's wait and see how things go on 3.9, which should go live any day now. I should put all my efforts there - I just don't have the time to work on problems with both versions. Right now, I am kind of overwhelmed with plugin updates and family issues. Prior versions of LoadDVD Pro and BulkEdit have been working on the Beta 3.9, but not using the new features. So, maybe wait until whenever you decide to upgrade to 3.9, and we will go from there. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! In that post I was having trouble downloading the installation file from your site, then was able to after clearing my browser cache. I wasn't confirming it installed successfully and was working. I know how to create a manual profile from scratch. I've been doing so for years. What I'm looking to do is create a manual profile that is identical to one of my existing profiles (....a clone) . From what I read your BulkEdit plugin provides this functionality. Quoting mediadogg: Quote: Let's wait and see how things go on 3.9, which should go live any day now. I'd be happy to wait and chime back in once 3.9 has been released and I've upgraded to it. No problem. If anyone has any thoughts in the interim of course please feel free to chime in. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, you are more than patient. I am just sorry that my software is not really serving you well at all.
By the way, I appreciate your helpful report. You had thoughtfully included most of what I would need to know for debugging - except, I think I didn't see exactly which versions of the plugins you were using at that moment. So, for completeness, could you post that additional info. Then, next time I am working on those items, I will have the information for reference in this thread. | | | Thanks for your support. First world problems and all that. :-) Would just love to try out both BulkEdit and LoadDVD. Once installed there's just no sign of them within DVD Profiler. When installing your plugins I'm also not getting the little pop-up message in the lower right corner of the screen stating the plugin installed successfully like I did when installing the Database Query plugin. Not sure if that's an indication of anything or not. Anyway, hope all is well. Will report back once 3.9 is released and I've upgraded to that. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

Yes, that is the sad indication that the install process did not work at all. Not to unduly impact your use of any other plugin, but if you care to try it, try uninstalling all other (non-Invelos) plugins, then install BulkEdit first, followed by the others. See what happens. I fully understand if you prefer not to try this I have no right to impact your use of another person's plugin. Again, please mention specifically which plugin versions you are using, just to have that info in close proximity to the error report in this thread. | | | Thanks for your support. I actually don't have any other plugins installed and only installed the Database Query plugin to confirm if I could actually install a plugin, then see and use that plugin within DVD Profiler. And if you recall from my initial post today, after installing BulkEdit and finding no trace of it within DVD Profiler (...as is the case with LoadDVD) I uninstalled the plugin, uninstalled DVD Profiler completely which included deleting any directories left behind, then reinstalling DVD Profiler and restoring my database after having restarted my computer first. Installed BulkEdit again at that point and same issue. It's just missing in action once launching DVD Profiler. Makes my smiley face turn upside down. :-( | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |
