| Posted: | | | | Kien, from all of these new questions, it might be a good idea to create a "Differences between desktop, mobile, and iOS" checkbox chart put somewhere near the index page. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

This is a great idea... it probably is also time to make a decision on what do do with the current windows mobile version, as it probably is no longer worth providing full support for due to age of existing devices... my suggestion would be to figure out some time of "viewer" application so that it does not need to be constantly updated with the desktop version... In addition I suspect there would also be huge demand for an Android version... while that may take too much time, there could be a "viewer" only application made as a hold over... maybe as a lesson learned from the iOS development. Also probably time for some significant changes to what the front page of invelos looks like... looking forward to next week! | | | -JoN |

Does it support seemless synching between all my devices? I have both an iPhone 3GS and an iPad. Will it save the changes across both devices and my main PC database if I make change in one device? You'll have to sync each, but yes that works fine. I frequently make changes on the iPhone and others on the iPad, then sync them when I get a chance. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | As Ken is in an answering frame of mind...... Have Apple give you any idea of timeframe for the approval process...christmas is just 16 sleeps away and I would love to add this to my partners Iphone .... just so she does not buy us DVD's that we already have. Ken, let me say have been a lover of DVD profiler for a long time ... and appreciate the dedication and work you have put in... Just love the program... so thank you .... even if it is late January |

I also have an iPhone and iPad and can imagine entering view dates and reviews while watching on my iPhone, and use the iPad while not watching and entering other stuff. Yeah, that's definitely great news. Just a funny little thing I noticed. I use Game Collector to manage my games collection, so I get their news letter and this came in two days ago: "Do you own an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Android phone? Then you're in luck, because this week is "Go Mobile" week! For *one week only*, we will be selling all mobile apps at a 50% discount." Coincidence? | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

Unfortunately that 50% off sale will probably be over by the time the DVD Profiler iOS App is approved by Apple . It usually takes anywhere from 7-14 days for App review/approval. I keep checking the App Store everyday anyways though . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

This does indeed look excellent, and I look forward to being able to browse my DVD/BD collection from here, there and everywhere.
Maybe, at last, my wife and I will be able to choose what we're watching whilst we're eating dinner rather than have the usual 10-15 min discussion post-dinner and then realise we don't have time to watch the chosen film!
Keep up the excellent work, and here's hoping Apple pull their fingers out and get it on the App store asap. |

Adding DVDs is supported remotely as is watching, loaning, reviewing, deleting, moving, and adding discs/setting location and slot. Oh my freaking god.... All I could even wish for, looking good!!!!!! Great job, keep the good stuff coming!!!! |

| Posted: | | | | This might have been asked/covered already - I've read in the other forum that it either requires (or works much better) with DVDProfiler 3.7 - can we expect the final release of that at the same time the app goes on sale, or should I go with the beta if I want to have 3.7 at the same time the app goes on sale? |

I can't speak for Ken, but I seriously doubt he's dumb enough to release an app, charge $9 for it, then have no way for all but a handful of customers able to use it. If you can't sync with your main database on release day, the app will get brutally hammered on reviews! But that's just my guess. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. But that's just my guess. True - but I thought it worked with 3.6, but worked "much better" with 3.7 and that 3.7 was the recommended one to use. I'd hate for it to come out before it's ready, but also for it to delay the app if it won't be released until weeks later. |

Based on what I'm seeing there, 3.6 does NOT work at all with the new app. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |
