What would it take to "bring you back" to the database?

Ken even accepts that.

and it's an excuse for lazyness...

I don't agree Jimmy. I'm not lazy, I contribute to the database almost every day, yet I clone profiles.

Cloning is just a tool to save me time and to add data to my collection. When I actually watch the movie I can correct mistakes if there are any.

Besides, taking all the data from the DVD does not ensure perfection. I've seen many profiles that were taken directly from the credits and they've contained mistakes.

Never said you were... sorry if it sounded like that. I was talking about those who take another profile, check nothing and say the hell with it I don't care.

We just had a different way of doing it... you know that I always create a complete profile the day I got a DVD (except for the TV serie for wich I do a partial one without cast and crew), I just don't like to have empty profile

I know you didn't specifically mean me - no worries Jimmy.

But, I feel the need to disagree again!

It may be the optimist in me but I feel that people who take the time to contribute are doing so because they do care and want to contribute to make things better.

People who don't care wouldn't bother trying to help the database.

I do agree with you about TV series though - they are my least favorite things to profile. Mostly put them off and wait hoping others will do that work for me.

I put off submitting anything cast related or new because of the time involved. I don't see how you guys can do it so fast (although, admittedly the only major cast edits that I have done were for a TV series.

Time-consuming headache!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

I always wait untill I watch them... Just feel like doing 20 or more profiles wich is way to tiresome to do in one go

After more than 2000 profiles done from scratch I get use to it. Except for the cast and crew linking in my database the rest is pretty much automatic.

I might be guility of laziness but at least I'm contributing something, unlike some others who brag about their skills.

So? My works is always available for my friends when they want it. I don't use the database... what's make you think I would work freely for something I don't use?

What makes you think I expect anything more from you.

But if I'm not contributing, I would defintely not sink to criticize those who do.

So do you want a medal or a cookie?

As I said I don't use the database so I will certainly not give my hard works freely for the fun of it.

I do all the works myself so I sure don't feel all sad in my heart to call the people who just copy another profile lazy contributor. You don't like that, tough luck I don't give a damn as I contribute when I gave my works to my friends who can contribute it if they want to...

I'm quite happy being a contributor thankyou, I certainly don't seek any payment or reward other than seeing the database improve. If that includes propagating good data, all the better since it makes it a bit easier for me.
