I don't know if it's important, but "LoadDVD.tlb" is again missing. Yeah, I remember that from before. That file is optional based on some details that I don't fully understand. Most of my plugins don't install it, although I think it is always generated. I must have changed my install template somewhere along the way. I'll do some more testing, but I was able to recreate your problem with the old install file, and it went away with the new one. I have a suggestion: if you see any uninsxxx.exe files in the LoadDVD folder, run them. That will clean out the registry from prior installs. Your user data should not be deleted, but back it up anyway. Now the folder should be clear of all dll, exe, tlb, etc, Then re-run the install. Thanks for your patience. (I PM'd you with a link to the loadDVD.tlb file just in case.) | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Here's what I did: 1. Copy the "LoadDVD.tlb" into the plugin's folder and started DVD Profiler - no luck. 2. Uninstalled LoadDVD using "unins000.exe", removed the plugin's folder, reinstalled ("LoadDVDInstallV2.50.exe" last edited at 2014-05-24 16:41) and started DVDP - no luck. 3. Uninstalled LoadDVD, removed the plugin's folder and user.config (from AppData\Local\...), reinstalled and started DVDP - no luck. 4. Uninstalled LoadDVD, reinstalled 2.46 and got this during the install process: I don't get this while installing 2.50! 5. Deactivated my AntiVirus software, uninstalled LoadDVD, reinstalled 2.50 and started DVDP - again no luck. So my next guess is, there's a registry-step missing in your new install template. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | Good grief. Thanks for the info. Let me think about it. Ok, I found a machine with no prior LoadDVD installs. So now I can reproduce the problem. Fortunately it is Windows 8.1 x64. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Darn it. In the process of comparing the LoadDVD Pro install (which works) to the LoadDVD install (which didn't), all of a sudden somehow LoadDVD now works. That's why I didn't catch it before. It seems to fail only on a clean OS. Now I can no longer make it fail unless I build a clean installation. Maybe I will use a VM for that. But it will take awhile.
Anybody else with experience installing V2.50? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | As I'm being a happy user of your plugins for a while now, I just decided to be also a grateful user. So I just bought the Pro version. And while installing the Pro version, I got the registry-warning like in the free v2.46. | | | |

And while installing the Pro version, I got the registry-warning like in the free v2.46. Thanks for that! But I certainly don't want to force people to buy the Pro. So, I think I have corrected the install script for the free version. Hopefully we will find out definitively, if we get feedback from another user that is installing for the first time. LoadDVD and LoadDVD Pro are exactly the same code, with some compile-time exclusions to create the free version. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Anybody else with experience installing V2.50? I own 6 Sony BDP-CX7000ES changers and thought it might be cool to check out your LoadDVD plugin. (Pics here if you'd like to check out my setup.) Downloaded LoadDVD v2.50 and I'm experiencing the same issue as described by StaNDarD. Once installed there is no sign of the plugin in DVD Profiler. I'm running DVD Profiler 3.8.2 Build 1542 and Windows Professional 64-bit which is fully updated. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection |

Do you mind trying V2.46 and see if that one works. Seems I must have forgotten to follow up on this - why the difference between V.246 install and V2.50. Edit: my bad - I see I dropped V2.46 off the web site. Let me find a way to get you a copy - after breakfast - I need some coffee right now - then I will jump right on it!!! I'm eager to see somebody use the CX7000ES support. I worked hard on it (RS232 and IP control). Update: I'm crawling thru the entire build and install process. At least now I am experiencing the problem myself. It is not installing on my test machine, so hopefully when I fix it there, it will also work for everybody. | Posted: | | | | Looks like I found it. It was a mistake that only first-time plugin developers make, and I haven't made it in so long, I forgot that I could. A critical flag that needs to be set, that has been correct for years, got reset when I went from .NET 2.0 to .NET 4.0. Somehow it just never occurred to me to check it. I'm going to do some more testing to make sure I didn't break something else in all my thrashing about. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | LoadDVD V2.51 Available
Due to a mistake in setting compile options, LoadDVD V2.50 was not installing correctly.
This release has no functional changes. Apologies to StaNDarD for taking so long to nail this. Both LoadDVD and LoadDVD Pro had the same bug, and both have been updated to V2.51. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | A recent post, asked about using the "series" specification for TV episodes. Since, I know of only one other person using this (the person for whom it was designed), I am posting some simple examples, based on the OP's stated folder format: "TV\Comedy\Cheers\Season 1\ ... episode files here" Assuming all the episodes are located on Disc 1, Side A (default), the following example can be used in LoadDVD: Example 1:In the Location field, the word: series In the Notes field, the string: [series episodes="folders"]TV\Comedy\Cheers\Season 1[/series]. This will create a disc icon, which when clicked on, yields a drop down list of all files in the folder, such as "01 - Give Me a Ring Sometime.mp4". If, for example, the episodes are not on disc 1, but instead on Side B of Disc 2, then the specification is: Example 2:In the Location field, the word: series In the Notes field, the string: [series disc="02" side="B" episodes="folders"]TV\Comedy\Cheers\Season 2[/series]. Separate drop downs are created for each disc series specification. Advanced Examples:In the case that file names are created using the season and episode numbers, you can select which files are available on each disc / side, using substitution characters: %_% says replace all spaces with %_% %sn% says substitute the season numbers %epn% says substitute the episodes numbers %title% says substitute the DVD title So, for example, season 1, episodes 1 to 3 are on disc 1, side A; and episodes 4 to 6 are on side B, then use: [series] season="01" episodes="1-3" disc="01" side="A"]TV\Comedy\Cheers\Season 1\Episode - %epn%.mp4[/series] [series] season="01" episodes="4,5,6" disc="01" side="B"]TV\Comedy\Cheers\Season 1\Season %sn%_Episode - %epn%.mp4[/series] This would create a drop down for disc1, Side A of: Episode - 1.mp4 Episode - 2.mp4 Episode - 3.mp4 and a drop down for disc1, Side B of: Season 1_Episode - 4.mp4 Season 1_Episode - 5.mp4 Season 1_Episode - 6.mp4 (note that the two drop downs use different specification formats for illustration) There are some other possibilities that can be discussed if anyone else wants to use this method. I am also open to making reasonable changes to accommodate new requirements. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
