| Posted: | | | | Version 1.08 is available. It is designed to work on both 3.1 and 3.5, so if you get a bug on either, please report it. Thanks.
Note: 3.5 support is not complete. For example, Ratings cannot be edited under 3.5, whereas they can be edited under 3.1. Added: - Ability to display/edit/update Genres 1 - 5, including custom. (Maybe this was already in V1.07) - Ability to Display Regions 1-6, A, B, C - however, Regions A,B,C cannot be updated yet - Ability to Display/Edit/Update MediaTypes (DVD, HD, BluRay)
- Tag "Manual Profile" added to cloned manual profile to assist in filtering. - Tag "DiscID Profile" added to profile created from Disc ID to assist in filtering.
"Load Manual Profiles" continues to load all profiles whose ProfileID start with either "M" or "I", for convenience. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | I have just moved over to DVD Profiler 3.5.0.1220 and lost the ratings on a few titles. So I thought this plugin might help (turns out it wouldn't have ... for now). Edit: Plugin version 1.08
The installation (to C:\Program Files\DVD Profiler\Plugins\BulkEdit) succeeds without any errors. However, clicking on Tools > Bulkedit just did nothing. I then went to Tools > View Plugins. The tick mark next to BulkEdit was off, so I tried clicking it, but gets the following error:
"The selected plugin's load function failed."
I tried uninstalling and re-installing (as administrator explicitly instead of via my normal profile), but it does not seem to make a difference.
Anything I'm doing wrong? Or is it because the new beta has now moved back to the normal DVD Profiler directory and is no longer in the Beta directory?
Thanks,
Johan | | | --- ¡Hola! | | | Last edited: by Johan1FS |

Thanks,
Johan That was happening when an attempt to load localities.dod failed. I thought it was fixed. Can you check inside \plugins\bulkedit and see if the localities.dod file is there? If not, please try uninstall and reinstall the latest version. If still no no go, try copying over manually - please report results because I definitely need to figure out what is going wrong. Edit: Oh now I just read your complete post. That's the problem. Localities.dod is probably in the \plugins\bulkedit under the Beta folder. Since Profiler has moved back, you need to either reinstall or manually copy the localities.dod file. A copy of it is supplied with the plugin and installed automatically. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Uninstalled everything, plugin and DVDP. Reinstalled DVDP, without starting it,then plugin. Started DVDP. The plugin wasn't automatically loaded, but when I activated it under Tools > View Plugins, my system hang for about 30 seconds, after which the menu option was there and the plugin seems to be operating... weird! | | | --- ¡Hola! |

Hey no problem, I know you've been busy I've had no problem swapping them around, its just that they revert to their previous order when I load more data. |

Can't figure out how I want to hande it. FYI, the problem is that the selected fields can change between loads, so I'm having trouble visualizing what it means to preserve the order when that happens. Any ideas? As far as the other item (feature request from Strop), V1.09 is available: Changes: - Locality Select panel renamed to Clone Options (you can still select Locality) - Ability to override the default Tag during Clone to Manual or Clone to DiscID - If the TAG field is blank, no TAG will be added - A multilevel TAG can be added using, for example, Level1/Level2/Level3 as the TAG name. Only the lowest level will appear checked in the Profiler Personal Information view - The same TAG will be used for all flagged items being processed | | | Thanks for your support. From my point of view it would be best if I could change the order of the fields in the left panel then when the data is loaded with whatever fields selected it would retain the order in that panel. Not sure if this helps you from a programmers perspective though, let me know I can help further. | | | Last edited: by MarEll |

Not sure if this helps you from a programmers perspective though, let me know I can help further. Hmmm ... maybe. Let me think about it. The column rearrange is free - Microsoft takes care of it. But your idea, if I can do it, would result in the best overall solution. I just need to wake up one morning with the light bulb on, as to how to (easily) program it. Thanks for the feedback. (Oh, let me give you more clues - it is actually not that hard - I just made some unfortunate shortcuts that are making our lives difficult - for example, the sequential dependencies, and the way I had to program the display of disc information to accomodate a variable number of multiple discs in the grid. Sorry to cry on your shoulder ... ) (Edit: waitaminute ... dim lights coming ... ) | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Version 1.10 Available
Changes:
- Ability to drag and drop displayed fields to rearrange display, remembered within session - Changed Media Producer to Media Publisher to align with DVDP Beta 3.5.1 build 1239.
Exceptions:
- Profile ID always appears in Column 0 - Formatted UPC always appears in Column 1, if checked for display - Disc Information cannot be moved or moved into (must be contiguous), but you can move around it
Thanks to MarkEll for the idea to do this. It turned out nicely and I learned some new programming tricks.
But I did not exhaustively regression test, so please report if anything goes crazy resulting from rearranged fields. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Version 1.11 Available
Changes:
- Collection Number added to fields available to the Multi-Copy tool - Cleaned up some bugs in Multi-Copy when dealing with null fields
It is now possible, for example, to do a column copy to and from the Collection Number column
@MarkEll, Did you try the field order drag/drop stuff yet? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Some help please... Am I doing something wrong here? I am pretty new to this plugin. Played with it a little in past versions. but never really used it as I was waiting to be able to use it for my custom genres (which I am using for sub-genres) Anyway... here is what I did. 1. Backed up my collection 2. Filtered on my tag for Superheroes (148 profiles) 3. Flagged Filtered Tags 4. Turned on Bulk Edit 5. Selected Genre in the list 5. Set it to load Flagged Profiles 6. Got this Message 7. Clicked Continue 8. Hangs up at Data Loading... Flagged Profiles (been a good 15 minutes now and still showing the same thing) | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | If you are on Vista, the data loading can sometimes appear to be hanging when it is not, although 15 minutes is a really long time. Seems like you did everything "right". You should never get that error, even if you didn't - it is definitely a bug. I will PM you my email address. If you don't mind sending me the Export XML of the 148 profiles, I will run some tests and see if I can nail it. Again, if it's not too personal, export personal data, but not Cast/Crew. That should give me all I need for testing. I will just import to a test database and see what happens. Thanks.
(I just ran a quick test of my own. I created a new custom genre, used it in a profile, flagged it, and loaded it in BulkEdit - all OK). Something else must be goinng on. Did you select any other fields for dsiplay?
I might have found it. BE seems to be tripping up over Loaned To for some reason.
In general, you should always check the minimum number of fields for display, because BE is really slow as you add columns. Try it with only Genres, and whatever else you need, except Loaned To. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
