Plot:
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein continues the horror-comedy series and features "the boys" with their usual quota of familiar routines providing the backbone of the plot by becoming Count Dracula's victim for a brain transplant. Lon Chaney, Jr. appears as the Wolf Man along with Dracula played by Bela Lugosi and Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein monster.

Abbott and Costello, as railroad baggage clerks, receive a strange shipment—the last remains of Dracula and Frankenstein's monster. But this deadly duo is still very much alive. So when the shipment arrives at the House of Horrors, the Monsters are not in their crates but have disappeared to a secret hideaway island. Blamed for the disappearance, Abbott and Costello follow their trail to the island where not only do they meet up with Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and the Monster (Glenn Strange), but a Mad Scientist (Charles Bradstreet) who wants to switch Costello's brain with that of the Monster. With everyone chasing each other, the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney, Jr.) shows up to scare them all. In the end everything works out: Costello finds romance and the Monsters find their final resting places…or do they?

My Thoughts:
Whether you are a fan of horror or comedy... this is a must see. You just can't go wrong with this classic comedy team. Not only do you get the genious of Abbott and Costello... you get the likes of Lon Chaney, Jr. and Bela Lugosi recurring ther famous monster roles. This film is just so much fun... more then worth the time put in to watch it. A must see!

Plot:

My Thoughts:
The Monster Squad is an old favorite of mine. I have watched it countless times and found it to always be good for a few laughs. The lines "the Wolfman has nards!" and "Well there is Steve but he doesn't count!" gets me laughing every time I watch this movie. I like how they have all the classic monsters in this movie. They made the story fun and interesting at the same time. This movie would make a good introduction for kids that are curios about horror movies. If by chance you never seen this movie I would definitely recommend it to all.

My Thoughts:
This is of course a classic horror that I must watch every year around this time. I normally like to save the Halloween movies for Halloween day... but now that I have the entire collection in this awesome blu-rsy set there is no way I would get them all in within the one day so decided to watch them through-out the month. This is of course the one that started it all... and finding out from one of the featurettes on the disc... a movie that was shot very quickly and cheaply. You would never know it watching the movie. I feel they all did an awesome job on this movie! While it would be hard for me to believe... if there is any horror fan out there that never seen this movie... I highly recommend checking it out ASAP!

My Thoughts:
It has been my experience... at least until recently.... that most people would dismiss this movie for no other reason then this one does not have Michael Myers in it. I personally always enjoyed this movie... as I always watched it as a separate movie from the rest of the series. Sure it isn't the best movie I have seen... but I always found it was well worth the time put in to watch it.

My Thoughts:
I so love the horror movies of the '80s. This is probably because the early '80s is when I first started watching horror, And Christine has always been a favorite of mine. Matter of fact this film is probably my first taste of Stephen King who I have since become a big fan. This film has a good story that keeps your attention through-out as well as characters you care about.This is one I definitely recommend if you never seen it.

I know I said I didn't give myself a goal for this marathon.... but curiosity got the best of me and I went back to count where I am on my marathon. As of right now I have watched 26 movies and 10 TV episodes. Not bad... but far, Far... FAR from my best!

My Thoughts:
Stephen King's take on a vampire legend. Being a vampire movie alone gives it a good chance I will enjoy it... and I definitely did. But it is definitely not the best vampire movie I ever seen. Like It did seem a bit weird... the idea of a vampire flying around in an airplane everywhere he goes. There was a couple things did I liked about this movie though... they way they made Dwight Renfield (the vampire) look... as well as the effect the vampire's blood had when he effected Richard Dees with it. I really liked the use of Black and White in that scene. It really enhanced the spookiness of the scene.

My Thoughts:
This is a film I never even heard of before I found it cheap one day at work and curiosity got the best of me. I got it because it stars Selena Gomez who I used to watch in "Wizards of Waverly Place" with Brittany. When I first bought the disc (last year) I watched the trailer. And lets just say I was happy I got it so cheap! As I didn't have very high hopes of it being a good film. Which is why it took me so long to watch it. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Sure I have seen better movies... but they made it easy to care about the characters. The storyline was interesting and fun. Sure the movie is geared to a younger crowd but I found it well worth the time put in to watch it.
