| Posted: | | | | I am on Windows XP... with Service Pack 2.
But it is an old computer. It has..
Intel Pentium 4 1.60ghz 1.59 GHz, 1.0gig of RAM.
I sent the xml of the flagged items (a little lower in number now since I did some of the fixing one by one.) And I unchecked cast and crew. | | | Pete |

Ok, so it will be very slow if you check a lot of fields for display. You never answered that ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | I can't get the file to load in vista. I've tried your latest version and it comes up with an message whilst installing and never gets activated. And I can't manually load it in dvd profiler.
the message is - "RegAsm : warning RA0000 : Registering an unsigned assembly with /codebase can cause your assembly to interfere with other applications that may be installed on the same computer. The /codebase switch is intended to be used only with signed assemblies. Please give your assembly a strong name and re-register it."
EDIT. I downloaded the latest version for my xp sp3 PC - now it no longer works with that either. Seems the same problem as I'm getting with vista. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

EDIT. I downloaded the latest version for my xp sp3 PC - now it no longer works with that either. Seems the same problem as I'm getting with vista. I have always seen that message with RegAsm. It just usually passes by so fast that you don't get a chance to read it. It has been so long since the installation script was written, and it is the same for all my plugins - but I'll take a look. But something is wrong - working on it. This is why I usually leave a couple of older versions on the site. I wonder if an older one works? One suggestion would be to uninstall the plugin using the unins000.exe and then reinstall. Check to see whether localities.dod is in the \plugins\BulkEdit folder. There is clearly some interaction of the plugin with 3.5 that I have not anticipated or corrected. Seems like different things are happening to different people. For example, I can install and even use the plugin on both Vista and XP with DVDP 3.5.1 build 1240. I do hit some errors during Import which I am working on. But the installtion issue - I don't have a clue at the moment. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | I hope this is Good News: V1.12 available.
Apparently there is something wrong with my Vista system. I am rebuilding it, as we speak. Meanwhile, I moved my code over to my backup development machine - XP Pro SP3, recompiled, and magically everything started working for me again.
I imported AD2DVD's XML file more than once, displayed Genres with no errors, defined new Genres, updated the profiles, download refresh from Invelos - all with no errors.
I have no idea how or why the V1.11 build got sick.
One disappointment: On refresh from Invelos, the profiles that BulkEdit updated with Custom Genres got reset - those Genres went away. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for Ken to give developers the official tools before the BulkEdit changes to Custom Genres will "stick" and survive a refresh.
Sorry for any inconvenience. I would appreciate confirmation that your problems have been solved or still persist.
Remember: always uninstall the old plugin first. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks mediadogg... I will check it out shortly. Maybe the custom genres are getting rest with update because they are not automatically locking when changed with your plugin? just a thought. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | OK... I - uninstalled version 1.11 - Installed version 1.12 - did all exactly as I described the first time. I get the same exact error message... and it never loads. Once again only think checked is Genre. Is it something on my system alone? I think I may be doomed not to be able to use this plugin. | | | Pete |

One other thought: of course I was not using your actual database - but an exported extract. I built your profiles by importing your XML. Is it possible that it is a database issue? Perhaps try a DB Repair - see what happens? Can't hurt, right? If that isn't it, I wouldn't mind if you sent me your whole DB (backup file zipped), but that's totally up to you as to your privacy. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Of course I can add the lock, but I'm surprised that you would have to lock Genres against other changes just because you had added Custom. Not the usual way that Profiler works. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | I do know every since the custom genres came... whenever I change the genre it automatically locks now.
And I will try database repair and see if that helps. | | | Pete |

Ok, I'll add the lock on the next update, and if you decide to send me a database, you can always just make a small database of just the profiles where you get errors and back that one up. Double check and make sure that the backup minidatabase still show the error, then send that one. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here.
