Title: The Death of the Incredible Hulk

My Thoughts:
I decided to watch this one today (January 22) because today is Bill Bixby's birthday. He would have been 77 today.

This one has to be my least favorite of the reunion movies. But wanted to watch it because it is all I had left to watch in the Incredible Hulk Marathon thread I was doing at another site. I still did enjoy it... it just wasn't quite as enjoyable as the first two movies. Unlike the first two there was no other guess superhero. And I just found parts of the storyline to be a little too slow. This is the only reunion movie that didn't have Jack McGee chasing after stories of the Hulk. Apparently they couldn't get Jack Colvin to appear for one reason or another. I keep going back and forth on how I would have wanted the story to end. David finding a cure or finding death. But in the end I think they went the right way.

My Rating: 3.5/5

Lucky you can work 50 hours a week. The combination of my aspergers and apparently a high IQ make the restrictiveness of working routines incredibly stressful on me.

Combined with how easily iam vulnerable to bouts of depression. Im pretty much useless in the working sense.

Is aspergers the behavior where you shout swearwords at somebody? Unfortunately I am stressable and do not suffer from any real disease, so I could try that one out. Damned drab slavery existence.

I have bouts of depression, too! But sadly still too many manic episodes between.

My Thoughts:
I been wanting to fit this one in for a while now... as I have enjoyed firefighting movies in the past. I have to say... it has been a while since I watched any other movies about firefighting... so I have a hard time comparing it to any of the others. But I enjoyed every second of this movie! It has lots of great firefighting action in it as well as a good story of their private lives that keeps you just as interested as all the action sequences. I normally don't care much for flashbacks in movies... but this movie did it right. They were done so well that during the scenes that took place in the present I was looking forward to the next flashback to learn more about this brave firefighter's life. I think I personally would have preferred the movie to end differently. It is still a powerful ending... I would just rather have seen it be different. Either way... this is definitely a movie I would recommend.

"Ladder 49" was very good. I liked it a lot.

I'm really looking forward to this coming Tuesday though. "Backdraft" was released on Blu-ray on January 4th and it's coming in with some other titles I ordered on Amazon . It has some of the best fire footage ever shot on film and I'm looking forward to seeing it in HD blu-ray .

My Thoughts:
Looking at my list of movies to watch I see that somehow I haven't watched this movie since 2004. Could that be right? Has it really been 7 years since I seen this movie? Well that is what DVD Profiler tells me so I guess so. Anyway... I thought I need to fix that problem here today. I am not sure what I can say about this movie that hasn't already been said... so I will keep this short and sweet. If you are a sci-fi fan... a horror fan... or both... in my opinion this movie is a must see. It is just a well done movie... it keeps you glued to your seat watching... even after multiple viewings. I couldn't recommend this movie high enough!

My Thoughts:
This is one of the many movies in the Horror Classics: 100 Movie Pack set that I haven't gotten to watch yet. I decided to watch this one today mainly because I noticed that Lydia Cornell is in it. I really enjoyed her as the younger sister on Too Close for Comfort. Unfortunately she has a rather small part in the movie. Also unfortunately I had a hard time getting into this movie. I found it to be rather slow paced... and just didn't keep my interest.

The quality of this one left a bit to be desired as well. Of course that is something I expected coming from one of those cheap Mill Creek Entertainment boxsets like this one.  But it is watchable... basically VHS quality.

Oh well... at least I got the set cheap... plus 99 other movies that I will hopefully like more then this one.

My Thoughts:
My brother gave me this DVD a couple weeks back. This is one of those movies that try to make it seem "real" by trying to play it off as real types found from someone's camcorder. Much like Blair Witch Project or St. Francisville Experiment. This one obviously a rip off of Paranormal Activity... so I went into it not expecting a whole lot. I must say though... I really enjoyed this one quite a bit. But I found where many people do not... I like this style of movie. The whole illusion of making you think you are watching some real lost tapes of unexplainable happenings... I just find it fun for some reason. I don't really feel right about comparing this one to Paranormal Activity... only because it has been a while since I watched it so I don't think I could do it fairly. As it has been almost a year since I watched it. But I do like where this one went... the urn of their father's ashes... the sister in the attic... footprints on the ceiling,, they had some decent ideas for the atmosphere of the movie. It is worth checking out if you like this style of movie.

My Thoughts:
I been wanting to check this movie out since I got it. I was never a huge fan of Hogan's Heroes... but I enjoyed it enough that I would watch it when I found it on TV. So I knew enough about it to know who Bob Crane was. But I didn't know till today about his exploits or the fact that he was murdered. I'm embarrassed to say that even till about half way into the movie I thought John Carpenter was THE John Carpenter (writer/Director of Halloween)... but then it became fairly clear it was not supposed to be him. I found this movie to be very interesting. But the whole time watching it I kept going back and forth on what rating I wanted to give this one... a 3.5 or 4. By the end of the movie it won me over a bit more. Definitely worth checking out if you never seen it. Though when I watch movies such as this one... I can't help but to wonder just how accurate it is to his actual life. But either way... it seems Bob Crane definitely walked on the wild side.

Greg Kinnear is another actor that I never cared much for in his past roles... but I must admit... he did a right good job in this one. And I always liked Willem Dafoe in the movies I seen him in... so he was a plus as Bob Crane's friend (John Carpenter).

My Thoughts:
While I have seen this one before (when it was first released.. on VHS)... it has been so long that I went into this one without remembering anything at all about the story. It has also been many many years since I seen an episode of the TV series... so can't really comment on how well this movie portrayed the series. But taking this movie on it's own footing... it is a pretty cool action flick with some great scenes. It is one I definitely enjoyed.

Tom Cruise has always been hit or miss for me... only like half the stuff I have seen him in. But I liked him in this one. I thought Jon Voight was good in this one as well. Matter of fact... I pretty much enjoyed everyone in it. Though the DVD itself could have been better... the Audio/Video quality was fine on my 24in standard TV... but there wasn't any real extras to speak of... just the theatrical trailer.

That was my late wife and my first date movie.  We both loved it.  The only thing that I disliked about the picture was that they made Mr. Phelps a bad guy; there was no reason to sully his good name for fans of the TV series.
