Yeah, I already know the total I have spent, so, why not break it down further.

Playing with the plugin, I thought of someting that I don't think is possible.

I ran a query by purchase place, then was wondering, how much money I have spent per location. Would be nice to run a query on that. Mark?

That's a fantastic suggestion and I have it in and working.  I'll probably put it up tonight.  Thanks for the idea.

Hey, at least I kept it optional.  You don't have to see those numbers unless you want to.

But I must say again that it's a fantastic idea.  Getting an overall % Saved at all the various places I buy DVDs was an incredible eye opener.  And very surprising as well.  For example, I was shocked to discover that I've actually saved more shopping at Best Buy than I have at CostCo! I've also saved more shopping at Target than I have at Fry's.

A well deserved green arrow to Erik!

Is it possible to query the profiles in the database that feature uncredited actors?

I was using the name query and noticed that a lot of mistakes were made with uncredited actors in certain profiles from old DVD's.

I'm assuming that these profiles were already in the database before the implementation of the contribution rules and voting of contributions by members.

I have access to the uncredited information, so yes.  What exactly are you looking for?  A list of all profiles with uncredited actors?

Yes, a list of all my profiles that contain an uncredited actor or actress.

Ok, that sounds like an easy one.  I'll try to get to it in the next day or so.

Mark, thanks for adding that feature, better than I thought it'd be.

I like the "missing" as now I can fix some profiles (children) that I don't want to have SRP's, as they were bought as a set.

Thanks again.

P.S. As I play, expect more requests :

I'm suspecting this probably has to do with what kind of titles you buy at those two places. I know I tend to buy newer releases at Costco (as that is what they mostly stock) while I tend to hit up the bargain bin at places like Best Buy.

So while $14.99 for a new release at Costco is a good deal, $6.99 for a five year old movie at Best Buy will show up as a better deal in the stats.

That would be nice.  But it can't be done with the current version of the program.  The plug-in can't access that information.  Maybe 3.5 or a later version will make it available.  If it's something you want, ask in the request forum that Ken provide that information to plug-ins.

One feature I really wanted to add was the ability to list people with birth years then clear their birth years with a click of a button.  Unfortunately, that also isn't possible at this time.  The best you can do is list who has birth years and edit them in the main program to clean them up.

Yeah, I understand why the differences are there.  But it's not something I thought about until it was staring me in the face.  The other shock is that out of B&M purchases, my largest savings came from Target.  That's because every time my wife drags me off to Target (which happens all too frequently  ), I browse the bargain DVDs.  Most of my $5-$10 DVDs came from their bargain racks.

Not a problem.  I'm just killing time now waiting for 3.5.  Even though it would mean a lot of work on the plug-in, I'm hoping there's a lot more to play with in that version.

Ken just posted a preliminary feature add/change list for 3.5 beta, and the headshots are changing dramatically so... we will most likely have to wait and see for a while on this. Hopefully it can be done because i would enjoy this as well.
