| Posted: | | | | We've been going by the guideline that name calling is an attack, whereas denigration of motive is not.
So, "You're an idiot" has been editable, whereas "You're always causing trouble" has not.
This is a subjective line is going to move as needed. Be polite and you're in no danger of an edit due to personal attack. Be impolite and risk an edit, even if in the past we've been more allowing. |

And again I ask, what about completely and intentionally derailing a thread here. Is that okay? | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

Personally I would love it if you started including denigration of motives as something to moderate, as those kinds of attacks are far more likely to derail threads and discussions than old-fashioned name calling is. |

I must call you or this one. You have stated a blatant falsehood. Kathy made no such comment, she merely said she was taking a break for awhile. That is your own conclusion and interpretation, please don't leie or be disingenuous. He wasn't talking about Kathy's post. He was talking about a post another user made in that thread. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Both types cause flame wars. "You're always causing trouble" leads to "Nuh-uh, you've been causing trouble longer than I have. Remember back in 2004...." I do hope you will decrease your tolerance for personal attacks. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | Moderator: You know what is truly pathetic. I have been trying to find a way we can fix this problem, for my trouble i have been repeatedly attacked and demeaned. There are those here who are clearly so invested in their hatred that all they want is blood. And yet you do NOTHING, you moderate the post of one user, while ignoring utterly disgusting and inflammatory attacks by others. NO, there is no fairness in this system, double standards all over the place. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I'm angry that yet another member left (albeit for an indeterminate time) because of this crap and the very same garbage starts in that thread, and you guys do nothing about it. Well, I guess since there was no actual name calling, completely going off topic with the purpose of starting an argument is a-okay. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com
