| | Posted: | | | | Well, as "Voyna i mir" was a fourparter, the different years are not really a wonder.
As far as I remeber "historic news" this production is called "the most expensive production in the history of the USSR". And as those vour parts all have their length, they were released in different years (at least in USSR, don't know the rest of the world).
Mine say: Part 1 in 1965, Part 2 in 1966 and Part 3 + 4 in 1967
I got no idea how the award-add on technically works. My last post was nothing else than a presumption.
But meanwhile I am not that sure if the year matters so much entered in the profile.
"Journey Into Self" (Documentary) won the Award in '69. It was released in '69 (year in my profile as well), too - but I got the see the Oscar allready for '68.
And to avoid any possible misspellings: I copied "Voyna i mir" from the Awards-Database into the profile of every single title as OT (each part on a different disc, I had the "full" OT before = Voyna i mir + name of the "episode") - but no change... |

But actually I am at a little problem for the update of the "Online Film Critics Society Awards":
Up to including 2011, the Awards always happened in January of the following year. That means, what is listed in Wiki as "Online Film Critics Society Awards 2011", in our database is listed as 2012.
Bad now is, that from 2012 on forward - starting wit "Online Film Critics Society Awards 2012" - the Awards were done in December of the same year. And now we need a solution how this year and the following should be entered into the database. Something like "2012-2" or "2012b" is not possible.
Best posibility iMo was to add them as "2013" (altough they happened in 2012). What's your opinion? |

| | Posted: | | | | Anybody around here? It is a little bit disappointing not to recieve any response within four weeks. So this way it might be even more difficult to get some of you for my next idea!
Well, I am still on updates, nearly every single day spending hours. Plus aditionally some awards not even part of the database. And some of them are running for shockingly much years meanwhile like the one I finished last night "Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia" (Venice Film Festival): 1934 - 2024
On the search for the original title I crossed a lot of movies allready part of my collection. And to find out then that one of them recieved more than 50 awards and only 2 or 3 are part of the database yet was shocking. Some of them are quite young, running not even for 10 years, but others award movies since 1965. So I did a list of the awards "my" movie has recieved and I couldn't find in the database yet. Anyone interested to care about one or more of them? I hope that Tom hast time soon to upload all my updates that you can see that I have finished something like 150 years of awards... And here is a HUGE load of work still to do (the link is the first year with movies listed, sometimes they have years before but without any data):
