Just recognized another kind of problem:

While typing cast & crew for some new profiles, I recognized two different spellings of one name, checked the CLT (as the name is not part of the glorified "Common Names" list) and found out the one with more counts.

So I changed the 8 wrong profiles (no update for anyone of them) and wanted to contribute that everybody has them.

But - WONDER OH WONDER - for all of them I got the message that my new contributions don't have any changes to the existing profiles. So that's paradox for me! There are no updates for those profiles altough there are (at least little) differences between my version and the database???

So what name was it? Was it just a matter of name parsing? If I have understood things right, the update system ignores name parsing, so for example Max/von/Sydow would be considered the same as Max//von Sydow. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am mistaken.

Also, I believe that name capitalization is ignored, so that Max von Sydow and Max Von Sydow would also be considered the same. Not quite sure about that, though.

The problem name was "Antoine Monot Jr." ("Antoine Monot, Jr.")

The version w/o Komma is the dominant, so I changed the 8 profiles.
And changes with/without Komma usually are always updates

So one more time the process is confusing

Aha! For quite some time there has been an automatic filter in place that adds the comma, so "Antoine Monot Jr." will be changed to "Antoine Monot, Jr." automatically, thus no change to the online, since that's what's already there. Older entries in the online database can still be without comma, though, hence the result from the CLT.
