| Posted: | | | | Greetings. I experienced something strange for a Blu-ray release recently with DVD Profiler with Norwegian locale setup when I tried to contribute it to the Online Database. I recently got a Blu-ray release with EAN (UPC) 7333018028005 and title "Gran Turismo", and I wanted to register it in my DVD Profiler database. DVD Profiler did not find any matching profile for the EAN, so I create a new from blank, with cover scans, Disc-ID and all other information. But when I finally tried to contribute this completed profile, I am told that I am about to overwrite a previous released Dutch contribution for 7333018028005.12 (.12 is for added for Norwegian locale). That was unexpected. I cancelled the contribution, not wanting to overwrite someones work. Can anyone suggest if this might be a known bug somewhere, or perhaps I might be doing something wrong? I tried to search for the title again without any filters in DVD Profiler, but I can not seem to find any Blu-ray contribution from either Norway or Holland with both title and EAN search. This is not a big problem to me, however. I just keep my own profile local. I am just a bit curious if anyone else has experienced any similar. |

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried this? I contributed this profile, in the Netherlands Sony has started selling Blu-ray’s and DVD’s which share a UPC with Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden), which you can see on the backcovet with rating details and overview being present in these five languages. When i bought Gran Turismo and noticed no profiles i contributed one for each locality using the alternate profile options. Once you updated your profilelist per the tips in the link you should be able to find the Norwegian profile using the UPC… Paul |
