I recently made several contributions.

My problem is that each contribution can be found in the "update list" when I try to update my collection after, and each time, I have to skip the contribution, because there is differences (mostly cover size, as I scan bigger that what is in DVDProfiler) and I don't want to erase my own profile.

But, with each update, my contributions comes back over and over, as I'm not using the "updated" version. I was so upset of that that I locked my contributed profiles to avoid checking it each time. But, this way, I "block" me for future contributions of the same titles.

This could be solved an easy way, I think. Could it be possible to automatically remove from the update list our own contributions ?

I think it's more complicated than what you may think. The reason is that the download always considers the current version of the profile and not the individual changes. So it's not possible for the software to just ignore your own changes while still considering the other changes.
However, did you try to use partial locks ? You can lock parts of your profiles as well. In fact, I can only think of Cover Scans that are changed after you did a submission yourself. Other fields should just remain the same (although I admit it is a little irritating that you still get those updates offered while you get No Differences if you do a preview). However, I've seen small changes in the order of subtitles after submitting, but I can live with that.

As the updated profile has a contribution date and a contribution name, I think it should be possible to compare the last contribution name to our own name and not show it in the panel if it's the same, am I wrong ?

Why not just lock the images?

there could be more than 1 new contribution in the new version which is compared to your current version.

i.e. two people submit changes - one to cast and the other to crew and both then get accepted at the same time.

If you  do just a "partial accept", of a field you don't care about (order of subtitles is a good one), the offer to refresh disappears, until someone else makes a contribution.

In the update list you can click with the right mouse button on a profile and choose Skip This Update.

Ken gave us a nice way of making those disappear.

1: You can do a "Skip all Unchanged", that will prevent re-downloading those (or most of) that have no differences.

2: Download the updates that you want.

3: Run the update again, you should only see those titles that you didn't want to re-download, hold down the ctrl key while doing a right click, select "Skip all Updates", that will put a big red X in every check box.  Click ok and you're done, those profiles won't show up the next time.
