| Posted: | | | | I apologize if this has been discussed before. (Search is not my friend...) I just saw a contribution that removed a bunch of data for a boxset, all according to the rules. But at the same time it added CoO to the boxset. Now, I don't think that's explicitly against the rules, but it seems illogical to me. As far as I can understand, CoO should refer to country of origin for the films (not for the boxset itself). Since the films in a boxset can have different CoO's it would seem to me that CoO should only be set in the child profiles, and not in the boxset profile, since that's how we handle every other piece of data that refers to the films. Ot have I got it all wrong? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Country of origin for box sets refer to the included films and not the box. If the CoO is the same for all the films in the box, I see no reason not to include it to the parent profile. |

Wrong: runtime and production year do also refer to the films and the rules specifically say to not leave those fields blanc. IMO if the rules do not say otherwise add every bit of information to the parent profile which is valid for all films in the box. |

had the question myself, looks like the majority is with you, but it is not stated in the rules. |

| Posted: | | | | For the sake of consistency it's better not to include the Country of Origin on any profile. Like theatrical release studio, production studios and video formats it's better only to add these to the box set's corresponding child profiles. | | | Martin Zuidervliet
