| Posted: July 23, 2007 11:54 AM | | | | As the Dr. has said, pretty much any PDA with Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0. will work as long as it is touchscreen capable. I've heard that some are having problems running DVDPM on newer devices with Windows Mobile 6.0 but I can't confirm or deny this as my HP iPAQ hx 2495b runs on WM 5.0.
I can only speak for the device that I own as I have zero experience with other brands/models. I love my iPAQ! The only problem I ever experienced with it, which isn't a device problem, was Activesync 4.5. I run Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business Edition on my home computer and Microsoft Outlook 2000 is incompatible with Activesync 4.5 so I was unable to sync my email with my iPAQ. I finally uninstalled Activesync 4.5 and installed 4.2 and now my email works fine.
Best Buy and Staples do not carry the iPAQ series due to sales agreements which I found odd. They carry all other HP products such as computers and printers but not PDAs. Instead, they sell the Palm, which is not compatible with DVD Profiler Mobile. So I ened up purchasing mine from Amazon.com. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

KM This is incorrect. Actually the Microsoft OS is the only OS DVD Profiler Mobile works with. From the product page: Quote:
Support for Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE, and Windows Mobile 5.0.
It has been reported to work with Windows Mobile 6 Profesionel as well. It is NOT working with Windows Mobile 6 Standard. This is due to the standard editions lack of touch screen (stylus). Unfortunately some confusion arrise from the marketing drones at Microsoft constantly changing the name of the OS. EDIT: Hmm the naming might have confused me even more than I thought. In case you where referring to something apparently called "Pocket PC 2002" (or earlier) then you are correct - DVD Profiler Mobile will not work on it. | | | Regards Lars | | | Last edited: July 28, 2007 2:46 PM by lmoelleb |

In case you where referring to something apparently called "Pocket PC 2002" (or earlier) then you are correct - DVD Profiler Mobile will not work on it. That's exactly what I was referring to. Microsoft's made two different PDA OSes. One called Pocket PC, and one called Windows Mobile. There might be other MS made PDA OSes out there as well, but I guess only the versions of Windows Mobile listed on the product page are compatible. Sorry for the confusion, but thanks for clearing that up. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. You've got questions? Edit: And a WM6 device. | | | Last edited: February 23, 2008 8:44 AM by Dr. Killpatient |
