| Posted: | | | | I have a large collection of Dvds and always have trouble deciding what to watch. I was wondering if anybody has any methods for decding what to watch, so you don't spend more time figuring out what to watch than actually watching a movie. I was going by actors in one movie to another. Example: Watch the Matrix with Keanu Reeves, then watch Point Break with him as well. But can only use an actor once in my sting. Made it about 30 or movies, but then couldn't get to some of the new ones I had got and didn't want to break my string. Anyway anybody have any other methods and better ways? |

| Posted: | | | | There is a button on the top of your computer screen under "Collection" (the hand holding a DVD) that will scan your collection and pick out a movie for you. Edit: You beat me to the info Rick! | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting lyonsden5: Quote: or use the movie pick feature in the program Trouble is it never picks one I want to watch and I mean that seriously. What I do now is pick a bundle out of my collection from a selection of genres and have them set aside to pick one from. It's much easier to pick one from 20 or so titles that you've pre filtered. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I used to have the same problem. Now I just look at my unwatched list (usually earlier in the day so I have time to consider my options), figure out how much time I have, pick a few candidates based on my mood and then I just pick one. The rest aren't going anywhere and will always be there whenever you're in the mood. So quit obsessing over it and just make a decision. If they're in your collection, then they should all be good choices. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | I created a tag called "Watch Soon". I check it when I come across a film I'd like to see in the near future. Every once in a while I'll scan my list and add stuff. Then when I want to watch a movie, I filter by that tag and have a "short" list of films I know I wanted to see soon anyway. | | | Build a man a fire and you keep him warm for a day.
