| Posted: | | | | Does anyone have problems with viewing phpdvdprofiler- and phpmyprofiler-pages with IE7 on Vista? If I do so, IE7 freezes and I have a hard time to close the shiitake mushroom (IE7). Yesterday I had to restart my computer to close IE7.
Everything works perfectly in Firefox. Firefox is my default browser. But I don't think I should use a program/script on my webpage that crashes IE7, since it's the browser most users use.
Anyone with the same problem? | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ |

| Posted: | | | | That seems odd ... phpdvdprofiler and phpmyprofiler do not share any of the same code that I am aware of ... sadly (or not ) I refuse to install Vista on any of my machines and so am unable to test this. I admit that I have seen IE7 freezing at times, although I haven't been able to identify any commonalities in the webpages I've been viewing at the time: I don't actually visit phpdvdprofielr sites very much, and the majority of times I've seen the freezing it has been here on Invelos (it may not be coincidental that this is my most visited site) I run process explorer in my taskbar, and an interesting datum is that when the freezing occurs there is no noticable CPU activity. Maybe I'll see if I can find a convenient TCP stack monitor; maybe some deadlock in the IE7 socket handling ... Anyway, if I can help (short of installing Vista ) let me know. | | | -fred |

| Posted: | | | | I've now tested the same phpdvdprofiler-page (the first link in my examples) with IE7 on XP and IE7 on Vista. On XP it works perfectly, but on Vista IE7 freezes completely. When I open task manager, that one freeze too. Only solution is to restart the computer.
Detailed information on the IE7:
IE 7.0.5730.11 128-bit on Windows XP SP2 IE 7.0.6000.16575 256-bit on Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ |

| Posted: | | | | Can you try if http://www.ya-shin.com/phpdvdprofiler/gives you the same problem as the first link? It's obviously on the same server, just in a different directory. It's also basically using the same php code. Not that I'd know what the problem could be, but maybe it's helpful for those with more knowledge (depending the result, of course). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | I tested phpmyprofiler with IE 7 under Vista and noticed no such problem. Ok, the table headers are a little bit different from Firefox but IE does not freeze.
