| Posted: | | | | I'm sure i've seen instances where the order will change. For example, if you edit the bottom one, it will then appear on top. So maybe the last edit date has something to do with it. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

| Posted: | | | | Titles with identical sort titles have no defined order. The actual order will depend on the order they are returned from the query, which could vary. So, set a different sort order by changing one of the sort titles. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | For all my Everbody Loves Raymond TV episodes I have the 'sort' order as - 01 02 03.. in front of each title... but when you get to 10,, it shows up before 2.. so therefore I have 9 and then 9a 9b 9c etc... It works great.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Since for TV series we can profile at the disc level, but not yet the "episode" level, I tend to sort them thusly (using the 24 series as an example):
Parent: 24: S1 (for Season 1) Child: 24: S1D1 (for Season 1 Disc 1) ... Child: 24: S1D9 Parent: 24: S2 (for Season 2) Child: 24: S2D1 etc.
If I get one of those "Split season boxes I'm showing it as follows:
Parent: Title: S1V1 (for the first season Volume 1) Child: Title: S1V1D1 and so on
If the series runs longer than 9 seasons, I'd number them S01, S02,...S20 (like for Gunsmoke)
To me this is the simplest method and requires the least key strokes. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

On disc level I enter them with an underscore and the disc number. Again Angel season 1, disc 1 would be "Angel S1_1", the double-sided first disc of Friends is "Friends S01_1A" and "Friends S01_1B". | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I don't do separated child profiles for both sides of a 2-sided disc (and don't plan to contribute my data since I believe most people do use profiles for each side). I just do a child for the disc and let the Disc ID field descriptions tell me what's on Sides A & B. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. | Posted: | | | | Especially for TV series (Stargate SG-1), and for movies with sequels, this is how I populate the sort field:
TV SERIES: Stargate SG-1: Season 01 Stargate SG-1: Season 02 Stargate SG-1: Season 03 Stargate SG-1: Season 04
MOVIES WITH SEQUELS: Die Hard 1 [for Die Hard] Die Hard 2 [for Die Hard 2: Die Harder] Die Hard 3 [for Die Hard with a Vengeance] Die Hard 4 [Live Free or Die Hard]
Keeps 'em all neat and tidy. | | | Peter

Keeps 'em all neat and tidy. Since the sort titles aren't printed anywhere, and since I'm a lazy so-and-so, I would shorten the word season to the letter "S" (SG-1: S01) when I did the sort fields for SG-1. Typing 1 letter is easier than typing 6. BTW: I wondered yesterday and still do today what sort order has to do with DVD Profiler Online. I thought My Profiler didn't use the local sort order. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.
