| Posted: | | | | I don't have a huge collection, almost 600, but I'm trying to child-proof my home and having several tall DVD tower shelves isn't going to work. My question is: has anyone ever used the handstands DVD binders (link below)? I've been able to create a custom report to print out labels to stick on the disc pockets and DVD profiler will tell me what binder a particular movie is in. Just wondering if this is the most cost-effective solution. Also, if anyone has used this particular product, where did you purchase the additional inserts for the best price? On a side note, I like the Handstand binder because it doesn't look like it hold discs. It can be stored in plain site and still look nice, even if there are several of them. Thanks! Jeff |

| Posted: | | | | They look nice, but aren't probably cost-effective. For a little bit extra, you'll probably be able to get a DJ-style box that will hold an awful lot more discs (I recently bought a 600 disc box for approx $40). Another thing to note is that quite often with any kind of disc storage, the number quoted is absolute maximum - I've never been able to completely fill any of my storage options without risking damage to the discs or the storage unit. |

| Posted: | | | | Northbloke- This case from scan is superb quaiity and actually holds the stated quantity. I bought one from a local shop a few years ago and when it neared full I went to buy another only to find they no longer sold them. After much trawling around the net I managed to find the same one online so I bought 2 Will hopefully be a while before they're all fillled The case is actually all metal and not just plywood with a metal effect finish like some I've bought (and returned) in the past....they're heavy, but very sturdy. Edit: Jeff- Fixed your link for you. It should go like this but without the space between href and = [a href ="http://www.handstands.com/retail/cd-dvd-storage/large-storage-binder.php"] Link | | | Last edited: by MarEll |
