| Posted: | | | | All too often I find myself checking certain pending updates day after day over many days because I'm interested in the question if that contribution makes it into the database or not. But then all too sudden the contribution is gone. And it's not at all easy to see what happened to it. My suggestion would be to add another menu item under datapase - Contributions that's called something like "recently finished updates" that has updates that were in the "All pending updates" before. A time span of about 5 days to a week would be appropriate to see what status an update got in the end.
Would be really nice to hear what you guys at invelos think of this idea.
-Steve-
Edit: Sorry, the title is a bit misleading. It should have been "Feature Request: recently finished updates"... | | | Last edited: by cougar2010 |

| Posted: | | | | In DVD Profiler you can click on the "View Contributors" link in the "General Info" tab, and then again on "View Contribution Notes." This will show you all contributions for that profile in chronological order, with the status of each in green or red, depending on if it was approved or rejected.
Also, you can edit the thread title yourself if you wish.

| Posted: | | | | yes Astrakan but unfortunately you cannot go in the details when the evaluation is over: like what did other people say along with their voting or what exactely changed. That's because if you click on "evaluate now" you only get "Unable to evaluate the selected contribution". So contrary to Skip I don't see that information available right now.
Plus the way I suggested you would have the information easier at hand (through the menu on the invelos website you already are because you look for news on that contribution anyway at the moment).
@pauls42 can I move my own topic myself to another forum or has this to be done by an admin? And: I understood the feature request forum to be only for DVD profiler itself, not for the website. Therefor I put it in the website forum. | | | Last edited: by cougar2010 |

You absolutely can. I monitor all titles and votes on a regular basis while any given title is up for consideration, you can do that too, remember it is NOT about popularity. It is about the Rules and ONE user can find a Rules violation that will cause a Contribution to be declined.

Go to the profile you want to check and you'll find the link Astrakan mentions on the General Info tab. However, I do like your idea - it would be nice to be able to access this information from the website - for a few days at least. |

He wants access to the historical voting history for titles up to five days after they have been approved or declined. Right now on titles that have already been approved or declined you can only see the original contribution notes and the approve/decline status, not the votes. I agree that that could be nice. Especially if you've forgotten or have been unable to check the voting history on titles for a while. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. Therefor I put it in the website forum. I've always thought of feature requests about being requests for the web or the program, but others may disagree. No, you can't move posts between forums - you would have had to add it again to the request forum - but since nobody else seems to think this should be posted there, just leave this where you originally posted. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | thanks to all replies so far. Astrakan got my point here, thanks. The problem is the same wheather I come from the website or from inside the program: As soon as you click on "evaluate this contribution" you won't come any further. Imagine there are many people who not only vote but also comment with their vote. Especially the no votes where you have to argue why you decline a certain contribution. And imagine further you voted the opposite then you'd be extremely interested in those comments Anyway in this (call it special) situation I'd really like to be able to see what those other people had to say and therefor - I think a week would be fairly enough - some more time is really nessessary. -Steve- Edit: What comes in addition is that the contribution notes are subject to the good will of the posting person. They can write anything in there. Inside the actual contribution on the voting site you see the actual changes compared to the version before the one in question. Thats a plus in my eyes. | | | Last edited: by cougar2010 |
