| Posted: | | | | Hi,
sometimes I like to use my own cover scans rather the ones offerd by DVD Profiler. Sometimes the Profiler added automatially the BR banner on the top of the image but most of the time it does not. Actually if I'm right, it happend only once...
how can I tell DVD Profiler that it should use the BR banner on top of that image? |

| Posted: | | | | sorry for the late response, thank you
but: Next problem. I have a BlueRay-Steel Book cover. But I can only select HD keep case or HD slim. That would add the correct banner, but then it would display the wrong info since it is a HD steel book.
is there a way to get both, the correct info and the BR banner? And next question, can I add the banner also to the backside? |

| Posted: | | | | The banner in Profiler is only designed to replace the one found at the top of the plastic HD cases because it's separate from the insert cover. I'm guessing the Steelbook case will have the bluray logo somewhere on the front so can be included as part of the cover scan. In which case the normal "steelbook" case type can be used and the banne will be seen on the cover scan. The banners aren't used for the back scans because there's no logo on the back of the hd cases. |

| Posted: | | | | The problem I've come across is if you say it's a HD Keep Case but it has a slip cover it removes the banner, even if the slip cover has the same image as the case front. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | As North said, the banner is designed to replace the one on the plastic case. It was not intended to be added to every Blur-ray cover. There is no banner on the slipcase, so there shouldn't be one in the cover scan. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Fair enough, but if the slip cover is 'short' to reveal the banner on the plastic case should you scan the slip case alone or scan it with the banner on top to show what you would see on the shelf? | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Interesting -I've never seen one like that. All the slip covers I've seen cover the whole lot. If it's only the odd title I'd say just untick the slipcover for the local and allow the banner to display. But if they start to get more common we may have to ask Ken to add a checkbox for the banner instead of it being automatic. |

Not very scientific, of the 9 I own, 2 have slip covers and these are both shorter than the case to reveal the blu ray banner. I've not noticed any in the shop that have full length slips. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

I am going to Best Buy tomorrow and will look at what they have on the shelf. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
