| Posted: | | | | In reading some of the forum entries on discussions on distributor and production companies and common and credited names, led me think that some stats would be nice. I'm sorry but believe most users of the profiler don't give a BRA about some of these topics. Some of these topics go on for days and no conclusion is ever reached and eventually wind up in ping contest. Maybe if we had some stats, some of you people would realize that most of the user pay little or no attention to the forum much less the rules.
We had one time some stats on this program and site. I would like to see some statistics: 1. Number of non registered, 2. Some average numbers of contributions per non registered, 3. Number of visitors who visit the forum per day, week, month, etc. per non registered, 4. Number of registered, 5. Some average numbers of contributions per registered, 6. Number of visitors who visit the forum per day, week, month, etc. per registered, 7. umber of visitors who visit the forum per day, week, month, etc. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | Well... #2 is easy.. that would be Zero... as you have to be registered to contribute every since 3.0 came out.. Quoting Ken Cole:Quote: Q:What other changes are there for contributions in 3.0? The biggest change is the new requirement for a paid registration in order to participate in the contribution system (submitting and voting). Although a paid registration is no guarantee of a higher quality of submission, it does allow us to effectively prevent fraud. Which means #5 is just as easy... as it is all of them. | | | Pete |

While stats would be interesting, we don't need them to us this. The average user participation, for companies that have forums, is between 5% and 10%. Your average user will download the program and never look at the website again...unless they have a problem. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. If you people think that people are going to dig through the forum or some other web site for studio, crew or cast names what you're smoking is illegal. How do think the IMDB got so screwed up. Just look at the name under the filters tab for cast, crew and studios. If want the cast or crew names to link, write a plug in and maintain a db for it. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it.
