Hi all,
I hope you can help. I am looking for the name of a movie. I saw it many years ago and thought it was the "Andromeda Strain" but I recently watched that one, with Arthur Hil,l and it is not, at least not that version.
What I remember is that there is a guy who escapes (?) from a hospital (?) and spreads a plague of some kind before he is caught and the world is saved. The scene I remember occurs at night and is about all I remember. Not much but this one snippet to go on. I cannot even remember who is in it. I thought it was Arthur Hill but cannot be sure now.

Thanks ninehours. It could be the Satan Bug. I have seen that one. I don't recall ever seeing Plague. I will check them out though.

Definately not Clive Barker's The Plague. Exerpt from the overview:

For ten years, the children of the world lay comatose, struck down by an eerie plague. And now, they've finally awakened to carry out a common mission: the complete annihilation of the adult human race.

This one is a real toughie as there's really not much to go on.

It sounds like this could be one of any number of films really. I'm thinking of:

Cronenberg's Rabid,
Romero's The Crazies,
or even Panic in the Streets,

...but that Arthur Hill reference doesn't sound familiar to those.

I don't know Panic in the Streets, but

- while Rabid starts out in a hospital, it's a girl who escapes, and at daytime I believe

- I don't remember particular hospital scenes in The Crazies and it's not just one infected person

Thanks for all the help folks.  The only one I am sure I have seen before is Satan Bug
However, this may have to remain an unsolved mystery unless I can remember more of the scenes.
