| Posted: | | | | Ok, i have 1192 Accepted Profile Contributions and 366 Accepted Image Contributions. Usually all my contributions are always rated yes by others, but my "personal rating" is still on normal. Is not an issue for me, just curiosity: wo decide the personal rating of a user? After how many Accepted Profile/Image Contributions will the rating evolve to good or great? Just curiosity .... | | | I can resist everything but temptation. |

| Posted: | | | | Your personal rating isn't related to your profile and image contributions, it's to do with your forum participation. When people click the (or the red one) on one of your posts, it affects your personal rating. That said, it's possible to get personal rating points from contributions as well, if people click through to the contribution notes section they can rate you there, but from my experience it's rare for people to do that. Yes, it seems a great shame that it's so rare to get votes for contributions (probably because a lot of people don't realise you can, and because the method is a bit convoluted) yet (and don't get me wrong, I appreciate the positives ) lots of people give out positives for votes/comments on contributions. So, if you do a fab full profile, with all cast and crew researched you usually get no positives, but if you see someone else has contributed a great profile and you vote yes, leaving a "Thanks for your hard work" comment you are reasonably likely to get a positive! FWIW I do occasionally do this myself but I've actually given out about the same number of Positives for No Votes when someone has spotted I've made a mistake as I have for Yes Votes. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
