| Posted: | | | | Grabbed mine already. Been wanting this one for a while. The season sets included are the ones that originally went for $80.00 each! (and still do if you can get them). I guess I have to wrap it up and give it to myself for Christmas |

I own all 9 original Collector's Editions but would certainly double-dip for a reasonably priced full Collector's Edition Blu-Ray . It might be awhile for the series to come on blu-ray. Here is what Frank Spotnitz said over at his site Biglight: Quote: There are no plans as yet to release the television series on Blu-Ray and there's a significant technological hurdle to be overcome: while the photography in the series can be seamlessly transferred in high definition, all the visual effects were created in standard definition. Before the series can be released on Blu-Ray, we'll either have to re-design all the visual effects or find a way to upgrade the resolution of the originals. But why is Fight the Future able to get a blu-ray release? Read here: Quote: It (visual effects) wasn't an issue with "Fight the Future." The resolution for all the visual effects had to be high because it was a theatrical release. Source: FTF on Blu-ray | | | We're on a mission from God.

When I saw the question come up on Spotnitz's site I was hoping he would say, "We're working on it right now." But who knows, maybe someday they'll come out, but they will be expensive, since FOX will probably pass the cost of re-doing the effects onto us and hopefully they will include all the special features and not the recent bare-bone releases. | | | We're on a mission from God.
