| Posted: | | | | Greetings! Being it is close to the holiday season i had to get all my christmas / holiday dvds out. I am added new ones as they are released as well as purchasing some old ones i didnt have before. My question is since they are spread through out my collection is there a way where i can add like a holiday genre and search through only my holiday dvd's? I ask because my ipod has sort of this function. i just added a holiday genre to it and assigned all holiday music with that tag. Alot easier to find frosty the snowman song for the kids by only searching through christmas music rather than 7,000 songs! Thanks!! |

Then just add whatever movie you want to that tag and exporting those for your iPod? Good idea, by the way! I might be doing something similar for my iPod Touch very soon | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

| Posted: | | | | Cool! Never used the tag function! I'm going to add a bunch of different tags. Anyway do you have any ideas on how i would try to browse through the tagged dvd's such as just browsing through the holiday dvd's i own? Thanks!! |

| Posted: | | | | You can filter on tags, so when you check the Holiday tag, only those films will be displayed in your collection list. | | | Kevin |

| Posted: | | | | I use the tag for Christmas myself...but you could also add a personal genre...can't contribute it, but it'd work as well as tags in this instance. | | | Lori |

Very helpful! Maybe i should start adding how many times we have watched each this year already!! The Ziggy one we watched 4 times straight yesterday!! |

| Posted: | | | | how do i search through my tags again? i have flagged my christmas movies then search through the flagged list. not exactly want i wanted to do but it works for this purpose. I guess i want to know how can i search through my individual tags. Such as i have set up tags for my 3 kids and there favorite movies. how can i just bring up say my daughters favorite movies, and nothing else. Sorry,it seems like i am missing something on how to do this. |

| Posted: | | | | In the filter window, way over on the right is a tab for tags. You may have to scroll the tabs to see it, depending on how wide the filter window is. Once you click on it, you will see only the titles matching the tag(s) you have filtered. You can use the and/or radio button to have multiple tags selected to achive the list you want. Since it has been a while, I'll throw out the link to an old thread on tags here. There is also an article on tags in the wiki here. | | | Kevin |
